Black River Stages 2011. Jumps were a bit too much for our engine mount. Failed about 1.5 miles from the end of a turn-around stage. Thank the rally gods for a sturdy skid plate that caught the engine and let us finish that stage. Needed to get back out on the next stage so...

Several other teams were helping us out - I was mostly just worrying and handing people tools. I love rally.

The aftermarket motor mounts on my dad's OtterCross Frokus broke in a similar fashion. In a parking lot.

This has to be one of my favorites...

The Focus motor mount reminds me of using a ratchet strap and a wrench to hold my rear suspension together at a rallycross, with lots of zip ties to keep the strap tail from getting all dangly. It worked well enough that I left it that way until I got around to getting rid of the Panhard and going back to the Watts linkage, many months and events later.

WRC Mexico 2012

Somehow a strap held this together for 2 more stages to finish the rally and win 2WD

Yeah because it's stronger and has more room for the ginormous muffler that I have now. One nice thing about using the Kia pumpkin is that it's got a convenient boss on it, I braced the pivot to that boss so that the Watts is actually in double shear too.
