When that car was racing it seemed that not a single rally could go by without a mention in the official PR of what type of flower was in the flower vase.

Anders

and, as always, for immediate release...

I'm amazed JV didn't pontificate on how wonderful a column shift is for quick gearchanges, just like his favorit FWD rally car, the Saab 96. smiling smiley

The column shift is kinda cool....

When the linkage is tight, the only thing better is paddle/sequential .
I pity the poor bastids that have to grope around in the floor trying to locate the stick...

I never understood the fascination with the new beetle. Uglier, less practical golf?? But the newest ones come with a boost gauge and lap timer!!!! It's BASICALLY a race car...

Less talk. More rally.

Particularly as a rally car..
I look at cars as tools, and as I often say "What advantage does this ---So called Beetle---have over this other car---say a plain MkII or MkIII Golf"

Nothing...just more cost.. Kinda like those ugly Corrados. Same stuff, poor packaging, great expence for zero advantage..

Wierd.
