Wait.Simi valley, that YOU over on that Focaljet thread where whasis duff is backhandedly saying shit that the Focus stuff is "proven" and the inverted Bilsteins "are unproven"! (and he says he's confused why he gets a chilly response...go figure) Well when you gonna get prepping that car for stage rally? Peek in to the focus thread in a few minutes, will ya? Yeah-that's me....
I think you mean this thread: http://forums.focaljet.com/focus-rallying-rallycross/653742-rally-prospect.html I think you might be talking about Andrew's(who is here too)comments in that thread. Spose I shouldn't talk for him,but I think he's on board with the inverted Bilsteins, but not entirely sold on replacing the stamped rear arms(if I remember correctly they are actually made from thin slices of cheese-I believe it's cheddar)with JVAB/TSSFAB tubular stuff.... Apparently..he and some others have had success(and probably a healthy dose of luck!) running stock rear stuff on stage, and not usually bending it. I don't like the stamped stuff personally, but will let the guys with actual STAGE experience(not me yet!)argue about this.... I'm not going to be on stage any time soon-but that is the plan eventually(a small business plus a second job keeps me pretty busy).. but I'll be watching youse guys and learning... ................................................. ..................... Yeah but he's couching his terms just tooooooo close to not misunderstand and I don't like what is a thinly veiled sour grapes thing saying "he's selling these things so................" and "I'm the de-facto administrator at Rallyanarchy" me who types with max 3 fingers and know nothing of computers and "moderating"..sounding like I'm trying to pull a fast one. And just totally ignoring the Canadian guy who reports exactly what blows up repeatedly with the Warm Bitch stuff. I smell an agenda. Anyway, I posted a hilarious vid of the stamped junk---wifey shot it and uploaded it, I don't know how! You gotta see it.. John, we have talked about this before. My only agenda is to see more people race in more rallies in the states. I am sorry you did not like my tone in that post that is now what almost 2 years old, I actually did not realize it was you and thought it was another aspiring ralliest that was linking to here. I did not say it was bad I just said it was un proven, and I clarified my remarks in a later post saying that I meant only the rear suspension and actually recommended your front and shock set up. But please go ahead and apply some super secret nefarious motive or agenda to my statements. |

Sorry Andrew, we may have the exact same goal in regards rally---MORE people IN and BETTER RETENTION of those already in, but whether you intend it or not, there is an undertone--hell right straight out tone of what I consider "warmning others" of an unfounded distrust. Your consistant , well hate to say this but flat dishonest shit like "well its not proven...." in regards to my suspension.. You know that's dishonest, you know what it is and it is effectively the exact same thing that Ford Motorsport in UK sold---only the springs are 2 1/2" ID rather than 2 1/4"ID.. You had the guys from Juggernaut say he's bent rear things and repeatedly blown up and bent his "Warm Bitch" stuff............. And yet you ignore that specif corrections to your dire warnings that JVAB is not "proven" and Hotbitches is. (I say it IS proven, the old stuff is proven inadequate and overpriced and TOO SHORT, the newer stuff overpriced and of unknown quality/materials, function) , and continue to argue that there is an agenda on my part at ever single step.. I make the stuff i do because I have been requested to make it, not because I've hatched some sort of nefarious plot to extract money form innocent people. You do not know what proceeds these shorthand notes here, how much the guys from their side desire reliable stuff which will not die when they do what they know they as beginners are going to do: whack into stuff. So when you constanly and repeatedly try to cast doubt on the need for stuff people have asked for assistance with, it smells like you are trying to sew discord and I don't like it one bit.. I am not saying YOU need to do anything, clearly you believe what you've done is a model or pathway to follow. Let others make their desicions. Especially when what they want is so inexpensive and easy... And obviously better John Vanlandingham Sleezattle, WA, USA Vive le Prole-le-ralliat www.rallyrace.net/jvab CALL +1 206 431-9696 Remember! Dripping. Found about six or seven things wrong with it so far. Bad fuel, CIS stuck down, some bad terminals in the wiring, failed tach and a bad oil pressure module were preventing spark, distrubutor was wired 180 out, and some other misc. things were disconnected/installed improperly. It runs now but only gets fuel while cranking.
Hey, the king's horses and the king's men couldn't get it running either. I think I'm the third or fourth owner since it stopped running and people started throwing parts at it... Pete Remner Cleveland, Ohio 1984 RX-7 (rallycross thing) 1978 Silence is golden, but duct tape is silver. |
