New Event
March 28, 2013 03:23PM
Announcing a new Pacific Northwest stage rally..The Nameless Stage Rally. The event will be held in Shelton, Washington on June 21-23, 2013. Organized by Painted Pony LLC, sanctioned by NASA RallySport West and sponsored by Nameless Performance, Little Creek Casino and AllStar Ford. The Chairman is Gene McCullough, Rallymaster Ron Barker, Technical Director Alan Perry and staffed by the extraordinary PNW rally volunteers.

We are excited to present this event to our regional ralliests on the outstanding Green Diamond roads near Shelton , Washington. The event will feature 2 pass recce, 2 competition days and 120 stage miles. It is very exciting to renew our friendship with NASA and Ray and Donna Hocker. Ray Hocker is a NW native and hopefully will get to visit for The Nameless Rally as well as Idaho Rally.

Unfortunately this announcement includes the canceling of the long standing Olympus Rally which dates back to the late 60’s. Rally America has chosen to invoke a non-compete clause in last years Olympus sanction agreement and at the late notification date Olympus organizer Steve McQuaid felt there wasn’t time to explore the legal options. Hopefully the situation gets resolved in a positive fashion.

The webpage will be up shortly and contact info will be present there.

Looking forward to a great rally,

Gene McCullough
Nameless Rally Chairman

Fantastic! I think I'll try to be there in '14.
Now... bummer on Olympus. What is a non-compete form exactly?

Wow. Must've been a doozy of a conversation to get Gene dragged back in to the organizing side of things.

You should give it a name. Maybe, I dunno, some kind of music or something.

Should've gone with Rally Formerly Known As Olympus. That's what we locals called COG after it went all national and got famous. Of course having a title sponsor for the event is probably even better!

Gene for President! smiling smiley

Honestly, it doesn't matter to me in the slightest what the name of the rally is. I'm just happy to continue to have another great rally in our area to compete in.

Thanks to Gene and team for working through all the B.S. to make it happen and to Nameless for stepping up!!

Hmm... hmmmmmmm!

May have to come on down for some fun smiling smiley I personally would find it hard to support any RA events at this point besides spectacting/drinking at them (the plan for OTR).
