Just playing devil's advocate here but,

Fogg decided to enforce a clause in what is to him,a legally binding contract.

If you were a businessman, faced with a similiar situation, would you do the same?

That being said, I think Fogg stepped on his crank in regards to this. I would laugh if some of the top national teams in R-A were to enter.

You're going to have to elaborate. While the internet is a wonderful collection of a series of tubes, AFAIK, the code doesn't exist to read another's mind, yet.

Fogg...a businessman

And therein lies the problem. Rally in North America is too small to be profited upon. It will only survive as a not for profit, of by and for the ralliest. Roots up!...not top down. Sick of this shit.

While I am sick of what goes on with the money and politics in rally I am comforted by the fact that there are many great people here with a deep, true, love of this sport, ensuring that it will continue. Thanks thanks thanks!

Green Diamond Rally...

I dunno. Not only do we have a title sponsor for the rally, we have a title sponsor that coincidentally has a name that is appropriate for the situation. How cool is that?

The guy did seem to make a pile of money by being a good businessman, so you can't question his skill in that regard. Rally it seems based on my limited brain power is not just like any business though.

What is your background Lee? Oil tycoon, Rail baron? (That's sarcasm by the way, not easily expressed over the inter tubes)

Yeah. Th making of money , the conventional sign of Blessing From GOD, really doesn't take making anything.
Now we all know that it takes some capital, like human capital or cash or credit to run a business.

But with enough capital, one can make LOTS of money with almost no expenditure of effort, just a phone call to a lawyer and instructions to institute a suit claiming some obscure and pointless and preferably nearly impossible to understand patent violation...and the other side pays you just to go away...

Is that indication of being a "good" businessman?

Kinda like the graduates of those elite Universities who make up the whole idea of selling "derivatives" ....not a product, not a thing, an imaginary thing, ----they made millions and millions...uncountable millions...

Were they "good" businessmen?

Considering how so many people already feel about RA, it's poor publicity. Even a businessman will look at whether or not enforcing such a thing will cause negative backlash or not that might hurt his company. I guess Fogg must just thrive on negative attention. Sometimes, any attention is good, even if it's bad. But in this case, I'd say it's just bad.

Yes, confirmation. Ok, so I guess we need to define sucessfull business man.... I believe that people in the business community judge a persons sucess by the amount of money amassed. If what I've been told is true, the guy did well.
Is he a wonderful human being? No clue. Does He make all the rally people warm and fuzzy... nope.

Did KB make all that money on the backs of sweatshop laborers? More than likely, but I hear He's a great guy. The guy can sell ice to an Eskimo, do you appreciate that skill or do you think it's deplorable? Personally, I find it deplorable but He's sitting on 86 mil with a house in Park City and I'm living in an 800 sqft house in VT.

I think I would marry Mr Fogg if it meant I could score a new dirt bike, so I guess that makes me a tramp?
