On race day I went for the smooth but slightly slower option knowing it'd be likely to be faster on average than having the red mist hit and effing something up in a major way.

I may have the distance thing right, gotta do a temp zap and check...
Made the plates outta 1/4" vs the original 3/16 just cause the BMW fitment is kinda chees-u-lar, like a glorified muffler clamp..

Piccies when I have time.

And when you've restrained your tongue! effing indeed!

Good gawd I need a summary for these 5 page threads. (In American English).

Topic 1)
From what I can gather some guy was fast as expected some other guy was over self promoting and some other guy got into trouble for some reason for not liking the over promoting guy.

Topic 2)
We have a lot of drivers who could use a little practice, with stop watches and such to learn more about driving fast.

Topic 3)
There are high risk moves that can gain a bit of time but may loses a lot of time. (Something I tested & proved during 16 hrs of seat time at a rally school years ago doing topic 2.)

In the long run reality always wins.

True - but #2 still stands...epic understeer is not epic driving. smiling smiley

You and your ear reminds me of a poem told to me after I was working in Nantucket on those big ship engines ashore as generators.

It goes:

There once was a man from Nantucket
Whose dick was so long he could suck it.
And he said with a grin
As he wiped off his chin,
"If my ear were a cunt, I would fuck it."

Your little taste of culture for the day.

Hey Evan! Thanks for popping over here and giving your side. I get along fine with Bill, though I think the sticker thing is stupid and what will eventually happen and I'm surprised hasn't yet is ticketed for vandalism, littering, and rally license suspended and fine assessed.
See you at a rally someday. I'll give you a beer!

To lighten the thread up a bit, Jeff put together a stop motion video of us wandering around PIR. You can get glimpses of Anders' face on my shirt winking smiley
