Was this Australian-Euro guy at Finland last year?
How did he and Chris D compare?

Oregon Trail will be an interesting one for this "test". Assuming it's PIR Friday, Mt Hood Saturday, Dufur Sunday? I bet he does well on Friday and Saturday but ACP dominates Sunday.

Did Cody Crane get enough for National entry? Will be fun to see how he does with all the fancy bits Brian Gottlieb has taken off his rally car and put onto Cody's.

PS> As Moderator on this forum, consider this your last warning. John, Adam, Keith, Timm, Toby, etc. I keep picturing that fat kid "just a sec, someone on the internet is wrong!" poster as I scrolled through this thread to see if any of these posts were worth reading. Ironically, the only thing I read was about shoelaces.

Ironically, I found this last post ironic on this forum.

Trololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololol.

Shirley, you jest? winking smiley Really, I'm just enjoying getting John's heart rate up since he probably hasn't been on a motorbike in a while. I've found that spite seems to keep older people going longer than happiness, so truly I am simply doing my part to preserve rally history! smileys with beer

The only thing I remember in this thread is about shoe laces. The rest is just blah blah blah.

Im going to guess that the aussie euro guy wins 2wd and podiums over all. He will win 2wd by 6 minutes. He will have a flat tire witch holds him back from an over all win. Cody runs regional but wins every stage with no recogniton because hes only a regional guy.

Yup.
Regularly 2 sec/km faster than duplessis and 1 sec/km slower than WRCA stage winner.

The original idea "These European Australians will prove or disprove that....."
I guess that "Youse guys" are "fast" and that importantly "John is wrong"..

What a strange thing to waste time on.

The point was that here we will have perhaps one of the better tests of the competing theories that:

1) Fast guys around the world are just sooo much better at driving than anyone here and that is why when we send anyone to world events they get beaten badly.

and

2) Fast guys around the world are faster at world events than the people we send for a number of other reasons. When they come here they will not have those same advantages.

Of course it will still be inconclusive but this is bench racing on the internet...

The Euro guys are quick coz they have evolved to a higher state of conciousness and awarensss due to the environment in which they compete.

I mean, how many USA dudes would know how to react if they heard their codriver state "50, right 9, eye popping smiley WTF there's no road, caution extreme denim, don't cut". LOL

After the mickey-mouse PIR stages, he's 20+s faster than any of the "local" 2wd-ers. 8th OA.

Definitely will be watching to see how things look after some real stages.

Reeves 5th OA at the moment, ACP riding in 8th. Lotsa AWD depression coming shortly. The kid is as fast here as he looks on the ARC vids. Yeehaw.

The Austrailians were very fast in the few portions I spectated at. Much faster/cleaner than the other fwd fiestas.

Adam Crane. First time I've ever seen him drive, phenomenal.

Antoine wrecked WRC05, I heard the car went very far off the road.

John Reed had the loudest car of them all.

Dave Hintz is making a believer out of me for the M3 revolution. He was a joy to watch.

They charged to spectate in the woods this year. It was kind of odd reasoning too. Originally they said it was for parking which was fine, then they said each person in the car would need to pay, then they were charging people who were walking. Oh and they only accepted cash, there was no warning or note that they'd be charging to spectate/park and they created such a long delay we missed the open classes first time thru. I've never paid to spectate in my 4 years of spectating at OTR.

Adam Crane, he was driving the wheels off of that corrolla. Cody crane was running very fast as well when I saw him at PIR.

The admission was $5 per person. It just felt a bit suspicious they said the money was being collected because the home owners weren't happy with us parking on the state roads. And then it was the money would be donated to the local firehouse. Either way it didn't make sense to charge for parking, but charge based on how many people are in your car, & charge people who were walking.

It wouldn't have been a big deal if they put it in the flier, or made an announcement at PIR, or made an announcement at Parc Expose. But for me to wait in line for a half hour to have a lady tell me to turn around & find a cash machine so I can pay her the unexpected $20 fee for my group to spectate.

I also heard they were charging for media credentials..... What other racing organization charges for media credentials? Does Rally America have so much media exposure, that it can charge the people responsible for sharing it to the masses?

I wore my Free Olympus shirt proud this weekend, what a joke.
