So, this "Power Stage" deal... will there be a 2 second penalty for every course marker knocked down?

The world rally car was the worst thing to happen to the WRC.

I agree - the competition hasn't been any better under the WRC ruleset - If you want to circle jerk over "technology" go watch F1.

My opinion to the Power Stage issue is to just increase the point value in the championship. Run the rally - assign points. Then run the power stage and maybe give everyone 50% of the points as the rally. You will see some fast drivers going flat out to get those points. And in the case of Mr Loeb snoozefest being back I think there are alot more drivers that can beat him on that one stage than a whole rally - so a chance for them to make up something on him.

What about adding points for stage wins, and making the power stage like a really valuable stage that gets alot of points if you win it?

What about points for car graphics?
Points for flatness of the brim?
Points for how many "Friends" you have on Facebook?
How bout points for how many views your promo vids have on Youse-Tuba?

The possibilities are endless.
