Merrilee: this I MUST see! But not because I did something naughty on recce.
Wouldn't recce be more fun if you do something naughty?
Are you trying to get me in trouble with Gene?

I'm pretty sure Gene would also like it if you did something naughty.

However, better put your name and location in your profile before you get in trouble. Then I will have to bring my riding crop!

Thank you for reminding her.... Real Name, real location, then you're a human bean...

I raced Formula Fords for 10 years, and was a race instructor. I think if I drove any rally I'd end up in the top 5 based on my road racing ability. Just sayin'.

A number of times we've seen 'Hot Shoes' who spoke as you've pounded out on the keyboard who went wayyyyyy off on the first or second turn.....

Try racing on gravel.... It is much different than the roadcourse....

You will be learning to walk again. It is worth the effort.

I drove a few Divisionals back in the early '80s in my Fire Arrow. Had 2 3rd's and a 7th overall.
At the time I liked road racing formula cars better so I kept driving there, and Co-driving on off weekends.
I'm sure one day I'll go back to road racing as you have more racing opportunities in a month with a short tow and a better chance to win some type of contingency money.
At this point I'll guess there's more nice rally cars from the last 10 years rotting away in garages or under tarps than race cars. And that's a sad state of affairs.

Sadly you're right about rallycars rotting away.... in too many cases not even under cover. sad smiley

Sean there are some deals to be had in used rallycars that go a LOT better than the Fire Arrow did.

Welcome back.

JVL, vous etes trop adorable. My real first time is coming up at Idaho, since I was co-driving OTR. I will debrief then. As I am far from timide, I shall definitely kiss and tell.

Completely off-topic. But does anyone else think the diminishing font size for nested quotes is lame?

Actually, I would favour a fixed height for every post that reduces the font size as the word count of the post increases...

BUT..if you go up in flames like the guy in the Dodge did..you lose your entry fee. That would be the downside to recce in a rally car.
