valid point what you should do is go and buy those pesky plastic clips that you broke off being ken block from the youtubes, and wait till the rents are not home and fix it proper, and that way they will never have to know Not driving a car like it was meant to be driven to keep it nice for the next owner is like not having sex with your girlfriend so her next boyfriend will enjoy her more. |

How's the oil pan looking? Bent up enough to slightly restrict flow to the oil-pump by chance?

This is a correct answer. Not mean but some may think it sounds mean, OK. I doesn't matter too much what we believe since we can be so often wrong... You believed you could go pound the poor van down some road and you believed wrong.. The correct answer is yes or no. Like "Yeah I jacked up the poor thing, put jack stands under, then crawled under with a flashlight and looks.. It is not smooooshificated." Or "I jacked up the poor thing, put jack stands under, then crawled under with a flashlight and looks.. It is smooooshificated." When you fuck up somebody else's stuff, the laws of dharma says you have a duty to check to the best of your abilities that you've not done bigger harm that the obvious superficial stuff. Dharma is duty.. The laws of karma say what you do not will be repaid eventually, maybe not in this life, maybe in the next... You wanna come back next life as a cock-a-roach? If not you jack it up and check carefully....and be honest with what you see. That's what a good person would do. John, we will have to start referring to you as "ye old wise one" if you keep quoting from the Bhagavad Gita ![]() I love when people try to pass things off. Like the story I heard from the guy who ran into my neighbors van... I was on the roof shingling at about 10:00 and a roaring party was going on accross the street (university rental house). Wake up the next morning, go outside to finish the roof, and there is fiberglass and shit EVERYWHERE. The guy shows up later, and I pop down off the roof to hear the story: He was driving down our street, "playing with his GPS", when he veered slightly off to the right and ran into the back of this van... in this "slight" accident, he managed to destroy the back of the van to the rear arch, rip off the van's bumper. Rip off his own bumper, fold his wheel in half so badly he quote: "was unable to drive away" so instead of leaving, he went and talked to the neigbour. He certianly not drinking, not attending the party accross the street, just a simple accident on a road where almost everyone does 15kmph because it is so damn tight. |

Hmmm... we must live reasonably close to each other. I'm just east of the university/mcmahon. I hope you're boiling your water since John says there must be something funny in it. I tried to check, but I have no way to lift the car up. I was going to take it to the shop to give it a once over, but he got mad, so I didn't. From what I could see , everything seemed fine. I didn't get a good look though. I don't want to be a cockroach!!!!!!

Cool, I'm just on the other side in Varsity. Small world. At least you live on the good side of town instead of the rebuplic that is the south. I picked up some stuff in Aubern bay last weekend, and it look me almost as long to get there as to get to Red Deer... |

Well there is a really good tried and true method. If you can't shimmy under, lay down on the driveway and get a good friend to drive the car fowards until you can see whats under it. /s |

As for the "tell your parents" advise
I will say this, sometimes I don't find out till YEARS later the kinds of things my parents have done to my cars when they've borrowed them. I typically find out right away the kinds of things they do to my brother's cars when they borrow them because I get the "tee hee, I/we took your brother's car and...." followed by giggles. And no, I do not rat my parents out to my brothers. I would suggest this, when you have a car of your own, and if your parents borrow it, keep in mind they will probably pay you back in full and then some. I assure you they aren't gonna tell you about it. |

I'm sorry... Fess up, tell your parents you are a dumb ass and work delivering pizzas to fix the damage you caused.
First off, you're in a fucking mini-van and it's not a rally car. You are not a rally driver and could have hurt yourself or even others on the road. We constantly say to people to stop thinking they are rally car drivers on the road and stop fucking around. This isn't even a "first rally story". There is nothing that says "rally" in there and more "I'm a dumbass". You've had way too much gusto about being a keyboard rally driver. Go find yourself a rallycross to go squish cones and keep it off public roads and trails. |

Phss... too much clearance ![]() although I did change the starter in a motorhome once putting the front two wheels on a driveway curb. we were in a cul de sac however, so no one was going to hit me. |
