Did you run a different/longer/better course than last year?

I wasn't there last year but I heard it was the same course. There were a couple really muddy spots in the beginning where all you could do was creep through in a straight line and a couple fast sections near the end, 3 laps of the loop = 1 stage.

It was a fun course.

Sounds a lot like the course we ran. This was our first year. Few very slick wet spots and some bad ruts.

Yep, only two runs on day 2. It seemed like the record setting amount of runs/rides on day 1 (over 180 rides!!!!!!) meant everyone was beat on day two. So while day 1 clicked right along, day 2 everyone was moving (organizationally, not driv-ingwise) slowly. So getting folks to break down, get set up for recce, pull up to the start, and so on, dragged a bit. The slick spots meant more extractions that we expected, we'll have to improve on some of that for next year.

Day 1, for the people that checked their odos, varied from 30 to "50-60" miles of rides.

All in all, a barrel-full of seat time for very little money. smiling smiley The "HyperFest ethos" is very relaxed. winking smiley

It actually WAS "Drink Like A Champion!"

Mugs and glasses of championships that hadn't been picked up were distributed around the campfires, so everyone drank from cool pewter/glass mugs. grinning smiley Attitude of champions was then inserted to all activities. winking smiley

The BEST prize I've ever gotten was a 24 ounce beer mug from the Colorado Rally Cup. I use it all the time, beer, iced tea, or just water.

And don't forget that the rally significant others took two of the podium spots at the Daisy Dukes contest!

A big contrats to Jenny (1st) and Liz (3rd). It was all due to the Hats of Authority that were borrowed from Anders and Amy.
