Yes, run the new struts with stock rears. 4

67%
No, run stock all around. keep it even. 2

33%

So John made me some struts for the front of the Focus and the rears have not arrived yet. I have heard pros and cons about running gravel spec struts up front and stock rears. Everyone I have talked with have much more experience than I do. So the question is Run with the new struts or not?

Chris, I asked Robert about grabbing the rears that have been sitting collecting dust for 2-3 years now and I didn't hear any NO...

Asking here is kind of odd. Get the fronts on, pick up the rears and within hours of the order arriving Robert can put the new ones on the shelf and let them collect dust.
he's so busy working on every car that comes within range he will never touch the VW again. Ever.

I asked.. Who and why would somebody refuse? We all know eachother, we all loan each other junk, do it.

Time's awastin'. You gotta get this shit bolted on, and TRY iT OUT before you go and do another crazy blunder.

If you have any options for true gravel I'd definitely get them. There are a couple rough spots on this event and you're getting faster.

I know I know. Things did not go as planned the other day. Long story. May have to run. Them for MT. Hood as time is going by quicker than I anticipated. Lesson learned for future car prep. There is never enough time. Bleh!

What the fuck Chris.

You have money to pay ebtry fees but no time to bother to get the car ready...
I feel pretty fucking dumb right about now.

Sorry John, I should have called. my bad. I would like to have more time to work on the car but I have to work most of the time to pay for all the shit it requires. I keep trying to win the lottery but I don't think it's going to work out. sad smiley.
I will drive down after work if you're gonna be around.

The shocks will be here regardless if I am or not...When wifey gets home, I have to go make parts in the wildly optimistic belief that one day I might get paid for things...which seems to be optional for a lot of guys.
Look by the door.

If youse got the parts, make dem BMW soospenderz next! smileys with beer I'll get $$ rounded up and headed west, will see the other BMW guy tonight and start asking for $$ once you let us know what we owe ya. Got Pikes Peak week all next week, so trying to get stuff knocked out before things get crazy on Thursday.

I've run my Evo with Ohlins on the front and stock shocks on the back because I don't have $$ for spares. Wasn't great, but wasn't too terrible and I suspect my oil pan and skidplate thank me for not trying to run stock suspension up front.
