Unlimited is now the first group of all the cars, and top qualifier earns the first spot. With the times they put down in practice, they earned it. Sorta miffed at two of the Unlimited entries being allowed to enter Unlimited, as the rules clearly state cars must be capable of breaking the record to be in that class. One clearly should've been in Time Attack and one in Pikes Peak Open. If those two cars had run in their respective classes...I would've had the same road that Dallenbach had. Not saying I'd have beat the 3 guys given a dry road, but I sure would've had a better shot at the 10 minute mark.

Biggest shame is that the weather cleared up about an hour later, so the bottom 3/4 of Time Attack really got walloped, and cars coming up later had a faster road. That's why the electric cars looked so good in comparison.

Sorry I didn't get to meet you in person Dave - you were in deep conversation while stood in your tent while it rained during fanfest. Marc Maksimow was also with - he said you were following his 205 adventure on FB and wanted to say hi - which was a funny coincidence.

Did get to say hi to Allison before the rain let up and we ran to Chicago's. Figured we'd get a chance to say hi in the pits - but then we went to Devil's Playground instead.

Sucks about the weather, and the issues, and after driving the road 11:13 in those conditions was still a damn fine effort. We were heading for cover as you came through so didn't even get a chance to get a pic.

Holy pucker up top. Slicks, hail, rain, huge exposures. Some awesome tire spin/search for grip at times.

This may in fact be my first post here, I've been a lurker for a while. Wicked bummer David got caught in the rain. This was near the Ws just below 16 mile. The white streaks are the hail.
