possibly stop Adam from making outlandish statements like he has more experience than anyone else here.

Hey look, I've finally had time to come back to this wonderful forum.

If I did make this statement (as we talked about in person), it was unintentional, as clearly, I do not possess that experience. Probably a combo of sleep deprivation/caffiene overload that had me not type the perfect sentence as to not be misconstrued in any way/shape/form from the peanut gallery.

Anywho, carry on. My giving of shits about what anyone on this particular forum thinks has dropped to very little. Sad, cause there are some great conversations/smart people on here. Oh well.

I have the feeling that maybe Morison had his sarcasm-o-matic turned on for some of that statement...

It is usually pretty easy to figure out who knows what on a smallish forum like this. Seriously. There may be one guy on here who has built more cages than me, so what. There likely isn't any driver on here with a record that exceeds mine, so what. I've organized, chaired, rally mastered, route book written, sponsored, teched, corner worked, ran advance and sweep, serviced, start and finish controlled and dog knows what else, so what. No one has had more fun than me or more heartbreak than me, so what.

I bow to JV mechanical machining skills, Robert's euro trash experience, Seans and Johns wiring neatness, Dave's roll cages and ability to live the dream, John lanes ability to throw abandon to the wind and fly. I've asked Hoche, Niday, Hurst, Hocker, Alan Perry, JVL and dozens if not hundreds of others including my competitors for advice and council. We must never ever discount a young age or minimal experience as not worthy. We must never assume old age, experience or established methods are always the answer. A guy(or gal) can run one event and see a solution that has eluded others for decades. They can build one car and see a different way to build something. No one has all the answers in reality, and many have years of doing shit wrong in spite of good advice and differing techniques. We must never stop looking, listening, learning...communicating. Life is a moving target and you must lead it a little to be on target.

So, I ain't playin this one...

No one is suggesting this would be a definitive or over-riding judgement method, just that it would give a bit of context to the comments, particularly form lesser known types.

It's just an idea, that seems to not be taking.

Not that it matters, but I'm lazy so I just posted a link to Rally Racing News search results in my sig that shows events I've entered. If anyone cares they can click away and see how I finished or didna. (Hint: I'm not fast!) Nice part is I don't have to maintain it, RRN will handle it.

I know this doesn't deal with people who build or organize or anything else, but you could manually enumerate that in your sig.

You think too highly of yourself Keith if you think any anger (which there was little) in that post was directed at you. I typically have the courtesy to direct my discontent at something you say directly to you!

winking smiley

I've come to the conclusion that nothing productive comes out of my time on RA. As I get busier and have less time to devote to the things I love, I find I get frustrated easier with things I should like doing (discussions on DISCUSSION forums being high on my likable ways to relax). That quite clearly means I need to step back, and probably at most lurk. Maybe watch some more porn, I dunno smoking smiley
