About 0.1% of the rally is paved
There is a <1km section before the tunnel that is a flat out 160+km/h uphill paved section, which then has a slight right (over cattle guard) into L3 (ish) through the tunnel. There is also a couple hundred meter section where you go onto the road at the end of Princeton Cutoff. Haven't checked to see if they are running that stage this year though. And in prior years, there has been a 2km spectator stage downtown, also on asphalt. |

Had fun spectating, too bad they didn't run some of the roads twice like they had planned though.

A combination of not enough volunteers and the delays during the day. (one pass of the Coldwater stage was cancelled because they needed marshals on Comstock-Kane. The delays dealing with cars on Comstock-Kane led to the cancellation of the last Helmer.)
