Yep.

Imagine the bitter frustration even unto today all those idiot engineers at Ford must feel knowing what a abject failure they are and how they could have done so much better than those miserable First Loser 2nds they did with the RWD in the Dubya Arsey

if only they had hired the right man who knows all. (sigh)

You got it the quote.---was that 2 weeks ago?
Nyet tavarish... by that reasoning, BMW actually won a WRC event, Corsica 87 with Bernard Beguin. Carlos Sainz and Didier Oriol tried high and low with the Sierras and even old Bloomqvist but they were at best a national level car.

Mike drove a Merkur with junk suspension, non-adjustable front arms, quaiffe diff, and 5.0 v8 swap. And like 30 events on the chassis. Who knows how jacked the STA and rear beam were.

the only xr4 i ever drove was a friends with about 120k on the odo and a t-bird inter-cooler
it was not bad but really needed an LSD

compared to my starion the xr4 was hand full, but mostly do to is ability to boil the rubber on one tyre on any corner and the shocks/suspension may have been a bit worn the f*ck out

i did like the car

I would rather drive a slow car fast as a fast car slow!
first rule of cars: get what makes you happy, your the one paying for it!
