Two Danes in love with Swedish rallying smiling smiley

The Beyers have posted their 2014-edit of the Swedish rallies that they have attended.
There is a fair amount of action to say the least smiling smiley.

Obviously a bunch of Volvos of different vintages, but also a few other cars as well. It even has a Danish 240 in there - see if you can spot the yellow 240 with the Danish flag in the side window smiling smiley.

Good thing about the Swedes: they tend to apply the same recipe for tarmac rallying as for gravel. Ie: Lots of power steering, long soft suspension, and... well - what do you expect? Gravel tires of course smiling smiley. Not fast, but pretty entertaining smiling smiley.

Welcome and yepp they can make them dance...too bad they they're no good in America..
See, things are different here....according to recent investigations Volvos are popular there "because that's where they made them"

Volvo Retails 1978 1979 1980 1981 1982 1983 1984
United States 48,000 53,798 54,177 63,038 71,151 87,841 97,915
Canada 5,512 7,002 8,020 8,654 8,168 8,454 8,516

As you see from these partial sales figures they only in that range sold half a miillion and sales went on to even bigger figures but but I guess that means they're rare only a few hundred thousand to choose from...
And they didn't make them here...

And "things are different here"...it goes without saying they are different....

That's why nobody ever says what the differences are.

But that's why Volvos are not awesome here, even if the rallies are fast and wide and have long gentle curves...the "conditions" different--somehow.

And that explains why 60% of the entry lists are Subaru because they made them.....wait..They are made in Japan...

Er nevermind..

God Jul o Gott Nytt År även om du är dansk!

Iam just lurking. I thought that the 740/940 might be a tad to big to rally in but they seam to do all right in that video.

God jul til dig også!

740 og 940 kan vara bra men deras bakaxel upphängning är dumt original..2 länk under o bara en dum länk på övre sidan, 240 funkar nog bra....

Do you hope to get into rally someday? Tell us a bit..

Here lay on this couch and start at the beginning...why do you hate your...
