Here's a photo gallery from the service area on sunday (link):

What makes rally so interesting to me is the small details that make up the big picture. You caught it man, Fantastic shots.

i think dr phil has john against the bike racks, sure would like to see some oregon trail stuff instead of arguments of relativity.
maybe we should change "rally chat" to "bikeracks! bikeracks! bikeracks!"

Then what are we supposed to do whatever the fuck your name is --can't address you like an adult since you make it a point to hide your name---(gotta rage against the MAN!!!---you da man!)

I start a thread saying Yay to some of my friends...

That isn't enough for your friend. So blah blah..blah blah

It was gently suggested if he thought somebody is being neglected and not getting enough love, he could start his own thread to tell us how marvelous the other guy was..
Nope.
EXACTLY like Morison, he drones on and on and on, pointlessly, obnoxiously just droning along

I would like to hear more detail...watch happened to the Saab?

What's the story of the local drunk hitting the Cortina? Piicies?
What about the gunshots and Police pursuit in Hood River??

Nope..

Again, what are we supposed to do when people simply want to argue?
Especailly the "not even noobs"?

You (John) are going to know more about the Saab than I do but it sheared the output stub from trans off INSIDE trans, passenger side. Could not be extracted without pulling tans and disassemble. Not a failure he has ever had before.

Local drunk hit the cortina when he tried to exuberantly turn his car around. Drove off and ten quickly parked the car and got out. He wasn't sited with drunk driving, but for leaving the scene of an accident (possibly reckless endangerment?). Cortina has a slightly smooshed left fender.

Shooting happened right before park expose on Saturday. Someone took two in the torso and one in the head, apparently still alive in ICU. Shooter ended up naked near our hotel. Dave's wife saw him walking around naked (wearing a garbage bag?) the next morning while she was loading up the truck with their 1yo inside. He apparently just stopped and stared at her, then kept on walking...

Creepy!

I know that a gun was found at the end of endersby where they were parking the spectator cars. Cops came out and fetched it, guess it had been there a while.

Dayum that's sucks..There was a tool for knocking out the stubbie bits in open diffs, went around the cross shafts but no way to do it in position really and no way with a LSD..
At some point when i was active with mine I really started checking very carefully for ANY hints of ugliness right at the root of the shaft.ALL these Saabs have at some point sat and I'd see marks from previous rust and as we all know, where rust starts on a surface, cracks may soon follow...

Was that Garths normal ride or was that yet another fine 96?

he's 13 and has aspergers, the ear pulling would probably just really confuse and upset him

however, pretty sure the album his mom posted on that dreaded fb site is public so even non-fb-abusers should be able to see it https://www.facebook.com/seana.rutherford/media_set?set=a.10152754318421987.1073741862.585816986&type=3

she always tries to post up a least 2 of every car, they weren't at PIR on Friday, so only Sat/Sun pics, sorry but you'll just have to scroll past the awd pics :p

Way I heerd it was. One in the forearm, one clipped his ear, and one clipped his throat as he turned away. Pure dumb luck from 6 feet away that none were fatal. We also had the other town drunk drop his VW bug off in the middle of our service area where the cops picked him up leaving the car... The whole thing with Daves wife... I'll be putting my wife in a concealed carry class. Pronto.

And I learned a lot watching those guys prep the Cortina (poor fender) was super cool seeing all the little attention to detail bits
