OTR was a blast! Lots of people put in a huge effort to keep us on the road. Special thanks to Culbertson for successfully swapping a nuclear reactor into my XR. Its 100% why I was able to keep up with Hintz bros. I ate dust nearly ALL of stage 6. Second pass was well over a minute faster. If not for that one stage, I may have finished ahead of my rally idols rather than close behind. But thats rally. Stay tuned for my big off at Olympus.
For what its worth, we jumped the ever living shit out of that car Friday night, and the suspenders held up nicely.

Thanks for encouraging and going along with the crazy idea! Also a huge thanks to Sean Medcroft for doing such a fine job with the initial build of the car, and answering all my odd questions. It was a treat to work with (even when I was swearing under my breath). For as much grief as I give John, the JVAB parts on the car do work... He must be doing something right!

You do know who talked him into building that car as a rally car dontcha? His original plan was a drift car... (I knew Sean in the PNW Merkur world a number of years prior to his interest in rally) I suggested if he built it like a drift car, it would only be a drift car.. Build it like an otter-crosser and that's all it would do. Build it like a 'track car" and meh Build it like a gravel car and it would do all those things "pretty good'. jeeeze guys..
