I should have brought spare gearbox! I do have one.
Its tough to be bouncing off rev limiter and go into a corner topped out. I was also braking WAY early, turning in way early and dreadedly coasting at times. Holy rust buckets! Never going that long between drives again!
They have big aspirations for this event. Its a cool road, not a highway, and still a true gravel hill climb!

Tell me about rusty...always a problem...even when I did 2-3 events every year 2-3 events and some playing between I was still always rusty first roughly 35 minutes..sucks big ones..

You have any idea of what the photo Kernie posted is?

And finally:

Nufenen Pass in Switzerland Pic was shot from near the top of the pass looking East.

Family reunion was in Mietesheim FR. Small world reference...people heard I raced cars and when I mentioned I race at Pikes Peak the follow up question was always "have you heard of Seb?" Turns out he grew up about 15k away, but now calls Switzerland home due to better tax situation...I guess?

Flew into London, one night there, then supertrain to Paris. One night there, then train to Strasbourg. Did a few days with the family in the Alsace region, then ducked out across the border to Germany to rent a car for a 2/3 day tour of mountain passes in Switzerland. Ended up in Amsterdam for a full day before heading home. 5 countries in 12 days....needz moar time next time...maybe buy some cool car and drive it instead of rental monkey business? I hear Escort Cossies are cheap-ish in Sweden?
