I personally think that seats and belts are a tech issue more than logbooking. Because the stuff can easily changed or outdated. The mounting is of a bigger concern. RA wants the seats and belts in so I need those requirements met.
I would think that being clever could benefit you here. Build the cage, borrow some seats and belts, get the logbook . Return the seats and belts with a sixpak and get on with building your car. Scrutineers are a necessary evil, but not necessarily evil 
The sanctioning body rules have to be followed but there are some ways to ease the process. Gene |
