SA2010 and 2015

Are there any issues with buying one of the SA2010 helmets that are on sale now that the 2015 ones come out next month? Any risk of the 2010 standard being short lived?

No issue, SA is always allowed for 10 years in Rally. SA2005 is expiring end of 2016, so the 2010 spec should be good at least until 2020.

They recommend to replace every 5 years anyway, so I've made a habit of getting the previous spec on sale every 5 years, instead of the latest spec every 10 years. That way I'm paying out more often, but smaller amounts, but it gives me a nice new helmet more often, and it's less painful on the wallet to replace it in the event that it gets damaged.

I'm going to my local distributor today to see how many of the Bell Rally 1 helmets he has left. M, L, and XL only but at $350 per helmet with Peltor intercom that's one rad deal!
