Do we get to go through the big barn?

I've always wanted to rally indoors...

I talked to Kito and this is pretty much what he said but not in his exact words.
We get to line up in the mill building and drive out to stage start. We will run the stage then re-enter at the back of the mill building to do the stage again.

We cant run through the building as they would have to put up barriers so that no one would hit the building. Probably an insurance issue too.

Are you going to partake in this event?

Chris

Stuck doing the rallyx instead of the sprint because I rolled the car at Mt. Hood. So bummed, this will be like going to a strip club and not being able to enter the champagne room.

Doesn't hit my smiles per dollar benchmark. When I asked what's the deal with the increase in cost vs the oneil's events or say mt hood I was told that the roads are going to be graded between stages... Why the hell do we care about that? And it seems no one is really sure of mileage, but if Oneils is a good representation of how these things go it looks like 16-18 miles is what I'd estimate.

My intention was to take my dad over as a christmas gift but 600$ in entry fees for 2 drivers...
Nope.

So it was about $300 entry fee? What was Mt Hood?

Grassroots rally. It's what I think about.

250. Oneils was 200. Fortunato did a,test day for under 200. Orp just did a very enthusiastic 2 day rallyx including night runs for 100.

14 miles min, more if time allows

2 short stages

WW was $50 more, but had 3 decent length stages

I'm still really on the fence, I love that he has some sponsors that are helping with prizes. I want it to snow so I might wait till the last second to enter.

This event turned out to be okay. I'll do another for sure. First time event definitely had it's issues, and they were compounded by the freezing cold rain. But we got the amount of runs he said he'd give us, although we didn't switch up the courses like he'd planned.
If I wanted to dodge cones I'd do Rally Cross, so hearing that each cone was worth 15 seconds was bullshit in my opinion. Plus all the important apex cones had a stack of tires next to them so I wasn't going to hit those anyway. Just the 3 that didn't...

We were awarded 3rd, but our first run had an extra minute tacked on by either start control or finish and that got overlooked. So I'm claiming 2nd overall.

new events always have snags, at least part of it got fixed mid day and the pace got picked up

sounded like timing also had some bumps and that it will be better set up next time as well

you looked great out there though and appeared to be hauling some ass
