Anyone know if stage times are being posted anywhere somewhat live? Their website doesn't have it.

LOL
Looks pretty decent by the numbers, lots of loose snow. Only a couple out so far with a field of 31.

Too bad one of 'em was the Berreman/Culbertson Corolla. Interested to know what happened there.

Also interesting that Mr. Clark was dethroned by a RAV4.

Few more stages to go! I own a Rav4 V6 4WD, it would give an open class car fits in the winter, and until you rolled it probably in the summer too.

Looks like Culbertson had Electrical issues, on the far right under the results tab.

Panda had some sort of issue where it didn't want to go any more.
But! Larry Clark was nice enough to let us continue is his car so Jason could get more stage times. We only missed 2 stages. Never figured out what the issue was, too much fun going sideways smiling smiley

I heard something about the event making the teams recce 35 km of stage they ended up not running but instead did a merry-go-round of the same two stages all day long.
Cancelling stages will save rally?

probably cancelled because of saftey due to the ridiculous amounts of snow moved making roadways super nArrow or undriveable for cars. you don't get snow like bigwhite almost anywhere in north america any more. and the rav is a 4cyl fwd auto which sad to say is pretty capable given conditions (my gf also has the awd 6cyl and lemme tell ya if it was manual that thing might surprise a team or two. never felt acceleration in a soccer mobile like that)

I'm gonna guess you've never organized a rally.

my guess is too much new snow overnight with not enough time to replow the two stages that were at higher elevations (the lower stages got more snow too, but not THAT much more snow)

sounded like sweep was having a hard time getting through in some of the higher elevation parts of the afternoon stages when they went to scout them out

hopefully, next year, snow plows on hand and replowing early enough should there be a repeat of heavy overnight snowing again

still gotta be able to get the volunteers in (and preferably back out)

at least they didn't just send everyone home after running the original first two stages through two times

I was volunteering, not racing, so I could be wrong, but seems to me that those inna cars and out on course would rather run those stages a few more times than just be done. As a volunteer that was supposed to move and work two of the afternoon stages as well, I'm glad I wasn't just done after only 2 stages in the morning and that they ran mine another 3 times.
