Sounds like a blast! Who owns/ is driving it? Look forward to see how they do with it in the upcoming events.

92inch. Probably the lightest rwd platform for a good rally car. I've wanted one as a daily/future project for a while but finding one in canada is basically impossible. It looks very well prepared. Even has the front inner arches tubbed. Go Garth whoever you are!

Grant's welded more cages than you have. Neener neener... So managing to weld tubes together does indeed make him an expert on tube structure failure. He should work for FAA doing post crash analysis

Actually I haven't welded on any of the 20 or so roll cages we've now built so stop being an a-hole. How many DOM failures have you seen? I have only seen one, a front bumper/radiator/intercooler support that was attached to the front of an Audi that jumped off the road onto the nose at about 80 MPH. Everywhere that the steel actually went beyond bending was a fairly straight break right next to the weld, much like we see here. Anecdotal. The codriver is a good friend that I have spent much time with. The driver I've talked to and supplied parts for. I don't care so much for how the cage failed, I'm just glad it worked and they are okay.

That Starlet is wicked cool. I should talk to him about sourcing him some real rally suspension for it that doesn't bend mounts like Kerrygold, get supplied with used parts, or is simply rebranded Asian junk. I wonder what he's using now. If he was smart he probably called Selholm, if I recall that's what many of the Finns were using and we all know they are leaps and bounds ahead in speed of any North Americans.

Damn it, I feel like Adam or Keith, getting sucked in. I think I'll go back to being nearly absent from here again and only occasionally checking in on threads.

From talking with Garth and Kyle, the Starlet-oh is using some JVABs off a Corolla. I think they're the first set that Dustin had on the Panda.... maybe...?

Speaking of being an annoying asshole Grant,
He was smart.
He called me. Just like he did for his other cars...

Just because simple suspension is beyond what you, and several others can do doesn't mean people need to spend more or less (more) double what the same thing costs here by going to Sweden... That Grant is not smart.

It's actually easy to hang around and have fun if you ignore the troll when the troll does troll things.

You are trolling and we all know know you are Morison.
You can call my response to Grant trolling but who cares what you say, you are well known..

What do you call this:
Quote

I should talk to him about sourcing him some real rally suspension for it that doesn't bend mounts like Kerrygold, get supplied with used parts, or is simply rebranded Asian junk. I wonder what he's using now. If he was smart he probably called Selholm

If not trolling..
We all notice that you were silent about that..
If not trolling then its just brainless blather..

What does Grant think he's going to tell anybody about suspension? Is it not just a little presumptive to imagine he can advise people? (and we see he's suggesting spending more than twice as much for virtually identical stuff---if not trolling, then what sort of advice is that?)
Does he think Garth is stupid and doesn't know things like who to talk to for good advice and good parts? What cars has Garth built? Where has he already gone to for yummy parts?
Is "pleasant" but horrible advice just hunky dory with you, the trolling expert?

If not trolling then what?

It is absolutely, 100% trolling. we all 'know know' that. Didn't say it was right... not my place to play 'policeman' anyway.

Since you're having trouble following context, again:
You trolled first, everyone knows that, and Grant took the bait and kinda regretted being 'pulled in'... soon enough he even said so in the same post.

We're probably all a bit guilty of trolling from time to time on this site... its in the DNA of Rally Anarchy. Not shocking considering the genesis of the forum.

It's not your place to do anything until you become a human and not hide your identity..
even then after over a year and something of hiding and refusing to use your real name your credibility is frankly less than zero...Most people presume you are an alter-ego of Morison for whatever reason...

And initial sarcastic comment to a friend, Hoche-Mong about Grant winning the inter-net because we have listen to years of him saying he's "Built another cage for..." was following up sopmething he and I had been talking about on the phone just a day earlier..It was directed to him, obviously agreeing with him... All sarcastic comments about fatuous or flippant bloviating are not all trolling..

Unless of course one counted all non-cheerleading comments as trolling.

And since we're talking about it, remind me again why it is that you believe you must ignore the one serious rule here and remain anonymous?

What makes you think that Don K Oates isn't a real name?
(I'll admit to not living in Trollhättan, but that's just for humour's sake)

Why squirm and fuck around? That's what that ^ answer is.
Personally I think you are, whatever you are named, marked as a fraud and a liar and completely untrustworthy because of answers exactly like that..And that I would never choose to do any personal of business deals with yopu because of your intentional hiding.
The intentional masking , when it has been politely pointed out that here we ---the founding memebers who started this forum---feel childish and immature, and stupid trying to seriously respond to people who are concerned with getting information , taking time but hiding behind made up names..
And when its was pointed out, just how frequently that people used anonymity to be "stirring the poo" type creatures, and ultimately time wasters you answer with bullshit answers like the above..

Whatever the case, once again you are derailing a thread about what happened to people and friends at an event, contributing nothing interesting, nothing insightful or at a minimum, humorous.
