well..I just wonder what the purpose of this rule is to begin with? I could understand a limit on the mount height...but odd or even, or with symmetry, what's the purpose?

Much of the original NRS rule book was "influenced" by the New Zealand rule book. I suspect the FIA rules just followed across. If the FIA is involved then common sense, logic and intelligence are removed from the rule making process. Friggin International A$$holes...

Lord knows that if they are doing it a certain way across the pond that it MUST be a such good idea that we all need to immediately jump overboard with it strapped to our ankles.

Sadly a number of the current requirements at RA do not make sense for keeping the contents of a rallycar 'safe' but MAY help in case of a lawsuit.

I've got a particular flavor of 'justice' in mind for those who would bring such a lawsuit.... Prolly not too politically correct...
