we'll be there. Hopefully for longer than 1 stage! Car really hasn't been looked at since right after BRS when I pulled the motor...so I'm working last minute as usual!

That's the way I've always done it. When it comes to oil and a 4G63, you can never be too sure of yourself. Not like timing the thing is that hard with the engine in the car.

On the whole "prelube" ...A lot of new race car motors sit for along time ...We all know how it goes..Going to get my race car running this month..Two years later its still sitting on the stand..Been there.. You lubed the motor when you put it together...But letting it sit the lube can run off...And the motors now dry ...

Some tricks "I" do is a little more oil in the pan on start up ...So the crank can really sling the oil around inside ..I put the oil in when the motor is on the stand...Then roll the motor over on the stand...Getting the oil to the piston pins...Makes the motor really smoke on start up...LOL...And if I'm installing a new cam ...I soak it in oil for as long as I can ...

And becareful on what you pack a oil pump with ...Most grease is WAY to heavy and moves WAY to slow ...And will plug up small holes for a short time ..Anuff time to get a bearing burned...I'm old school and still packing oil pumps with Vaseline..And the reason is its not that heavy and will not plug up the smaller oiling holes in a motor...

But who would ever want to do things old school...winking smiley...

Some can get away with not prelubing..But I'm a pussy and motors are not cheap..And when you build motors to pay the bills ...You look like a dick head when they cook on the first stage or into the first turn...

How your luck...Roll the dice ...
