2017 STPR: the flood of information
June 05, 2017 12:11PM
How to sort through all the flood of information? Results, details, so much info!

Anybody else just overwhelmed?

I heard somebody won.
And there were even 1 or 2 2wd cars.. Such a change from when bad old Wawwy Amewica was doing things..

In short:
A National 2wd hit a Regional 4wd in a control
A National 2wd boycotted the podium after losing the lead on the SSS.
Lots of people destroyed suspension, oil pans, etc on SS1
There was at least one Red Cross
Seehorn didn't break his car
WRC car was WRC fast
DeMasi wrecked the truck, again
Rental car had a small fire that turned in to a big fire
A Porsche was pushed to the finish
There was no beer
Trophies were given, and taken away
Wellsboro is pushing to have the highest per capita rally driver ratio. (Herman is still winning)

Rental car had a small fire that turned in to a big fire Ouch
A Porsche was pushed to the finish
There was no beer...wait a minute..da fuq no beer..That can't be true..Rally runs on beer.

Some elaborations:

Red crosses were not for medical as far as I know. 1 for a broken car blocking the road (shouldn't have been a red cross), and another for a possible stage incursion on SS5.

The team boycotting the podium (maybe they didn't hear it was happening?... ) was in an Escort Mk2.

The fire.... it wasn't exactly a rental car, but close. The driver is employed by the company that owns the car. That poor car lit up so fast it was ridiculous, never imagined how quickly an entire car could turn to flame. The extinguishers were a joke against it.

In short:
A National 2wd hit a Regional 4wd in a control yota of Millen hit Paul and I but was just outside of control; could have turned into demo derby if we hadnt went in the control after being reseeded in front of him leaving him without dust minute
A National 2wd boycotted the podium after losing the lead on the SSS. Burke
Lots of people destroyed suspension, oil pans, etc on SS1 must be the back end of the field though Sumit hit his skid plate on big jump going big which ended up being cause of blown motor with a bent pickup tube
There was at least one Red Cross road was blocked on ss2 when a car broke down-back end of the field again
Seehorn didn't break his car
WRC car was WRC fast
DeMasi wrecked the truck, again
Rental car had a small fire that turned in to a big fire TeamO managers car burnt down to ground and they were treated for smoke inhalation
A Porsche was pushed to the finish Charli Tameris porsche broke down on superspecial i heard
There was no beer Stpr is alcohol free even champagne was alcohol free
Trophies were given, and taken away regional awards were pretty shit. A couple of competitors had to step in and correct errors
Wellsboro is pushing to have the highest per capita rally driver ratio. (Herman is still winning)
at least 4 local cars competed and at least a couple more codrivers

It was at start of ss12 right before yellow board. He stopped at board we went in and declared our time informing workers we were reseeded which was granted. If it happened in his minute im sure it would have gotten aggresive by both parties with us having to step out. Start of next stage which was the 25miler we asked what happened and his response was obnoxious and silly saying he thought i was waving hello and he waved back and asking us what championship we are running... we were entered regional only and he didnt like that we took away his dust minute.

I just took a quick look at the results from the event... Considering that prior to SS12 you only beat Millen on one stage (even then, only by 3 seconds over nearly 8 minutes) do you think being reseeded in front of him was Legit?

Considering timing was a total shit show and we didnt even care about Millen or anyone else should we have not followed rallymaster and competition director instructions? Pretty sure there's a penalty for that...
Also, keep in mind there was no reseed done prior to start of day2 in the morning which always happened at STPR which meant we were seeded inppropraitely and were moving up a car or two each control.
In other words we werent the one that made up the seeding order, we were simply following instructions.
