At the last time-attack I was at I met a guy that used to compete in the provincial championship here and he told me that at our level of racing the co-pilot can't do much to make you faster but he can really put you in deep shit if he fucks up.

Personally, I'll wait till I sit in the right seat for a couple of events before giving my 2 cents.

For people at the top of the field yeah, they are going to get fucked harder if they go off. But I'm going slower, so I'll be slightly less fucked.
