New guy checking in..

I am new to rally and enjoy this method of adrenaline administration. I had the pleasure of meeting a few of you at Sandblast (let me appolige in advanced for my intoxicated service crew, they made good freinds with the European service crew).

I plan on doing Rally TN next, and then Rally WV. I was also planning on doing STPR but I heard that Rally Amerika was not into new guys unless they could do a backflip tailwhip on a ten pound BMX bike, what the hell that has to do with driving a rally car safely beats the shit out of me.

Aaron Cresenti was my Co-driver at Sandblast (very professional and on point) but he is already commited to do Rally TN with another driver. I am hoping to find someone to rally with in TN that is close to me and could meet up with me to go over things in advance of the rally.

Anyways, I like the sight here since it seems a little less "panties in a bunch" then SS forums and I hope to be a regular poster in the future.

John

Dude. Isn't the free beer the whole secondary point of being service crew.

One of our service crew guys, who was the only one drunker than me at the Rally Colorado Parc Expose in 06 (where all drivers, codrivers, and crew get two drinks and if you know enough fellow competitors you can easily get 10-15, since most people take themselves too seriously and don't drink at all the night before a rally). Anyhow, he's a bit hammered and he's talking and going off all, "Who the fuck does Ken fucking Block think he is anyhow..." And turns around and Ken is standing right behind him. Everyone (as in all the friends standing right there) started laughing.

Anyhow, good luck at Tennessee. There's one of them AllTrash's that runs some of the events here in Colorado. I codrove in it once and they seem like fun cars. Plus, you know Jason Priestley, of 90210 fame (he was Brandon in the show) drove one of those in rallies in the early 90s. It was the newer body style I believe. I know my sister, who still watches 90210 on the Soap channel, would be stoked. smiling smiley

John, welcome aboard.
Thanks for the compliments, but hey I don't remember the "All Trash" part, and I know the weird languages I use, and I fell that "trash" is not a word I would use.
I appreciate the credit but I am a fair man and belive no good deed should go unpunished so I can't take credit.........

But I was trying out some when I was test running "All-trash" inswide my head, and instantly hit upon some way better, indeed very nearly Sooper Bitcin.

Run this thru your head and see how much more fitting this is
"Toiletta All-Crap Sillycar".

Whaddya think (and ask anybody who knows me I never said "TH" very well and on top of that I would, like a lot of immigrant kids, make fun of the way my Mamasita would say things in English, so I said for years "STink, and in a great lesson about making fun of people, the ultimate justice is after years now I say stink when I write "THINK"winking smiley

Which model you have? ST165 or ST185?

Whatcher planning with the thing?

Tim Taylor, my friend who posts all the CAD-porn of the things were making together has a ST165 sitting at his shop and there was some talk about just using the gearbox out of it into the Maz-dog and we got to talking about what REAR DIFF comes in the thing.

You know if thats a Toyota 7.5" unit in back? You have the car ID tag which has like engine code/trim/motor/gearbox/diff??

We're trying to finger out if ther thing is simply 7.5" if we can shove the diff from Toiletta Stuprah MkII, the one with the big stuck on arches, cause loyss of those had clutch plate LSD.

Thanks God it's not the 90210 mobile! Who the fuck is Ken Block? Free drinks at rally CO huh? My crew is not allowed near free drinks, that way I can control the BAC levels better.

John,

My car has an unknown posi unit in it but came from the factory without LSD. I am pretty sure that the Stuprah unit will go into an All-crap housing but not "posi"tive. Here is a page that you might be able to dechipher some info out of:

http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/stepho/diff.htm

Mine is a 165 and my plan is to beat the crap out of it. It was a rally car already when I got it but it was in disrepair. I replaced just about everything in it and it seems to be much more solid now.

My next project is tuning for the restrictor. I upgraded to a Ct20b so I hope to figure out how to make some safe low rpm boost before TN and whoop some ass with my rusty hood and drunken crew.

here are a couple pics of "Angelica tha Celica" ready for some tarmac:

Oh yeah, I'll be sure to update my profile to read better.

Shiiiiiiiit. That car's dripping with hotness. (In an especially filthy, "I-play-dirty" kinda way.) Me likey! e-high-five

Then again, I'm one of the resident keyboard rallyist poseurs, so take from that what you will. I think your car looks badass, man. "Sure. I'll run you from the light, but while you go straight ahead, I will break right, hop that curb, take out the hedgerow over there, and do a wicked-pissah burnout in the field back behind that Hometown Buffet. On three, okay?" grinning smiley

John, remember the concerns of the scrutineer at SandBlast concerning the two rubber hoses. You may wanna visit a semi truck or industrial equipment junkyard to replace them with steel braided ones. Next time make sure you introduce your crew to us, intoxicated service peopleare not only welcome but also are a necessity. See you at TN or WV, due to WRC commitments of Burak we may miss TN though.

Welcome aboard.
