Yes in 2003 I was in my first golf that was a stock 8v motor rally car I bought for $2500 rally prepared (that should give you an idea of the quality). I gave that car to Chad up in Canada as a bit of charity, to at that time a very young and promising driver. So I should have said I never finsihed behind a PGT car (that I remember) in my second golf.
Oh thinking back in more detail I think a few PGT cars did beat me on the track at PRI the first day of Oregon Trail 2005 so I guess I was wrong I forgot about the silly day mostly on pavement sitting on the rev limiter in 5th gear forever.
It is possible that a PGT car may have got us at Merrit too after we drove 2 stages with a broken lower control arm... and at Oregon Trails 2004 as I was driving the car that became golf #2 but was still mostly golf #1.
I still stand by the idea that Gp2 cars should be faster then PGT cars most of the time.
