Good coverage of Argentina on Finland's MTV-3

Elsewhere I see that this control tire BS is killing them.
Loeb speaks for everybody when he said:

Or les gars qui prennent les décisions ne sont pas dans les voitures, ils n'en ont rien à foutre, alors que nous on prend des risques. Ce serait bien qu'on s'adresse aussi aux pilotes.»

I saw it in the eurosport coverage of day 1.. not sure if it's in the finnish coverage. I didn't watch all of the video. The finnish language sounds like what I imagine a constipated robot to sound like. That being said I like how they are level and straight talkers in English.

At any rate the finnish coverage seems more informative than the english eurosport coverage.. less action shots tho.

Seems like a serious accident waiting to happen,the tires look new coming off the stage, the edges show no wear... hope it gets sorted before something nasty happens!

It shows the idiotic of the FIA, when they put a person from F1 in charge rally, changed to the BS it is today: sprints, spec cars, short events, day light hours, clover leaf road format, picnic service, now spec tire-which is lack of competition without atleast two tire manufacturers... Funny thing is the costs went way up and competition went down!

When one looks at it, rally is very much the circus that F1 is, 1-2 teams that have a chance and the rest wasting money, performing with vehicles that are not sold in the show rooms, aside from a short show what is the point?

I don't know anything about FIA politics etc.. I don't follow it .. don't think I'd care to.

What exactly constitutes a car that's sold in show rooms? How much of it can be changed before it's no longer one? As with Nascar, I think that went out of the window a long time ago. I guess it's about believability, once you start driving wheels that aren't driven in the showroom car I can't "believe" that it's the same car anymore?

I'd definitely like to see longer stages.. what's with sub 20 km stages? I'd much rather 400 km stages.

As for a control tire.. I don't see how that matters at all. If they're all running the same tire, then it's fair. Sebastian seemed to always have the right tire choice, with the right cuts ALL THE TIME. No wonder he's pissed. Why should I care?

Where do you find the "Eurosprout"? Online or cable or sumpin?
And yeah I have always thought the Finns and Swedes tell it pretty much how it is, but so do the French in my own experience.
Kinda contemptuous of "handlers" and BS.

I see why that's pissed some drivers & teams off. I'd be pissed as well, but I don't see how the sport is unduly hurt by it.

Henning. It was wild he hit what looked like just any other rock, rounded protruding maybe 4 inches? and BAM! strut through the fucking hood!

Hirvonen busted every bolt in his left rear? suspension, but none of the components.

Completely stupid, driving here like we have to do with a hard tire without any cuts. I'd like to see the guy who decided that we can't cut the tire. I'd like to have him to be in the car because it's completely crazy and dangerous.
