Damn , I do have driveshaft adaptors, and they are pretty cheap.

Good to know there is someone out there with a quick and easy solution.
Im glad I went with a new driveline being the old one had staked in u joints.
It probably also had about a gazillion miles on it also.

Yeah, the non-replaceable (and non-greaseable, IIRC) U-joints and the Guido, err, Guibo, err, that stupid rubber donut thing make the stock driveshaft crappy in my book.

The last few stock driveshafts I've yanked from parts cars had pretty nasty U-joints.

JV, what's your solution? I may get my street XR4 running in the next couple months (if I didn't keep adding two things to the list for every one I cross off), then I drag my other two shells out and decide what's getting played with and what's going to the crusher.

And then there's the (allegedly) low mile 85 on Boston craigslist for $500...

LOOK OUT!!!! The JVL sooper bitchin diff conversion is now on the road!
All I can say is it is running and driving better than ever. Interior noise is less, vibrations are all gone and power is up. In fact the only vibrations I could come up with is when I cut her loose in second gear and broke the tires loose. If your thinking about this conversion, its not hard if you have the tools and you wont look back. More testing to come! smiling smiley
As far as gearing im happy with the V8 t5 and the 4.3 R&P no regrets yet.

Let me know how to help. MY lawn mower pully that I am using as an idler can't last many more rallies.

Ok the arm mounts have two adjustments and i mounted them flat that firs time both on the bottom
tonight i mounted the inter bushing on top so there off set. pictures speak for themselves its a done deal.
I got asked how i aline the diff with the trany i don't. but i slotted the bolt holes in the top bracket so that should make up the difference when i get a motor trany in there
Befor

After

Also adjusting it brought it back up to normal ride hight

Good shots for a cell phone i might add !!!
