Hey Dave, Lesser Clark Finish restoration porn link

Here's the link, have a full box of Kleenex handy

Oi oi oi, everybody is an expert.
Such a simple suggestion of something that struck me the instant I saw it first 20 years ago, and so much discussion. Oi!

Too bad Toyota didn't have such well reasoned arguments cause it looks like they fell for the same mistaken logic that I did on their only serious RWD car they did:

I'm guessing you are talking about the frame rail engine mounts.
Which reminds me of something I was going to send you. A link. But now I can't find it.

It took me a while to find because his listings are done.
Here's the guy.

Here's the part, the one that made me think of you...

With the exchange rate, it'd be a good time to sell stuff to the UK and get paid in pounds.

Yeah saw that stuff, fawking well like his work duddn he?
Go my street beater going (rebuilt head, cam covers so cam timed correctly first time since i owned it. GOOOOOES WAAY BETTER)
I did Chuck Ws mounts on it and they're stiff, and I feel an excellent price for street boys, I'd still do and recommend the chassi rail stuff for the inevitable offs straight ahead.

Perhaps the Bentley ice racing record -321kph on ice.
All of which adds up to- if you have to ask----

What a shame of an engine, with 240hp and 180tq it would do wounders in a Mk1

Picture 58 of 308

There are what look like wheels attached to pallets hanging on the wall.

Does anyone have any clue what they're for?

Are they molds for castings?

MAN!!! Around picture 125 IT'S ABOUT MORE THAN I CAN HANDLE!!!

The suspension and brake setup is georgous! It's great to see the before and after pictures! I usedta could give a shit about initial appearance or estetics...I'm all about the underlying form... but WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! That car is so clean! So much attention to detail everywhere. It's overwhelming.

What toyota 4cyl has two spark plugs per cylinder like that?
The valve cover has the same script as the 1jz-gte.
Appears it's a DOHC 8 valve motor as I get more into the pics.
Double roller timing chain too with a mechanical gear driven dry sump oiling system!!
And what looks like mechanical fuel injection too! JESUS!!!
Looks like the inside of my granddad's pocket watch!

All the crazy expanding and flattening exhaust work!

I dig the sweet electro plating setup they've got on pic 144!

Thanks for posting this up John, it's one of the most inspirational things I've seen in a long time.

WOW!

It's a 4T-GT engine. The block is based on the older 2TC/3TC, the prior engine also being available as a 2TG (twin cam 1600 cc w/2 valves per cyl), with the latter engine later being developed into the 3TG and even a 3TGTE as a turbo/EFI option or European and JDM market. All those version were single plug heads.

But the 4T-GT was built for racing and rallying, being used in IMSA, Group B, and Group C racing. As far as I know, the only production car to use this engine was the Celica Twin Cam Turbo which was the homologation car for Group B.
