Besides Anders, who else here is going to TN?

I'd prefer to be running on gravel, but at least I'm familiar with asphalt.

Same here. Tires are mounted, installed, and I am ready to go. THe XR looks bad ass on fat, sticky tires.

I'll be there running the "combo" course car between the bikes and the cars. Other Colt with Stu Wood behind the wheel is competing. Hooper is in the Pacific NW.

I'll be riding shotgun for my first time in the XR with Matt.
I've never really seen that car point straight for more than a few seconds.....

The XR does look badass on fat sticky rubber. I saw it for the first time Friday night at the Civic Center.

Per's Saab looks awesome!!!

I rode with Darrell Pugh as fast sweep and Wow!! I know why driver's like notes.
A very fun event that was extremely low key and seemed to enjoy the support of the community. I'll say that if you're within a days drive of the event, I'd encourage you to plan on attending next year's event.

Per, the gearshift console is bolted to the floor somewhere between the seats. When you wiggle the lever, the rod going plongé plongé into the växellåda pushes on shift forks and selects gears.
That's presuming everything works like its 'spossed to.

No if the gear level and the rod stay still but the motor changes its position, then its more or less equivalent to the same thing.

The motor is rocking, and pulling away from the rod, which calmly slide some shift forks over and ziiiiiiing ziiing!! Insta-neutral!
Shoot a piccie of your motor mount up front.
Post it here.

We can draw up a simple copy of what the Squareheads did might take a wee bit of welding but it is worth it.

Any links to RESULTS???????

Unreal rally!

It was my 1st tarmac rally and my second total rally but I am starting to feel more comfortable going through the trees at speed.

We had some issues with a blow off valve tube popping off on a few stages but we got it fixed at the first service and pressed on. On stage five and six the car was pulling hard and felt great but the upper radiator hose was bubbleing even though it was not hot (clinderhead leak introducing air into the system?). The overflow tank was also overflowing.

Our fuel pump craped out on stage seven. We were hoping to get a tow out from the "heavy sweep" which was a 4 cylinder ranger but they declined so a guy in a Galant VR4 towed me out at speed which was pretty fun..

Dual fuel pumps on seperate switches are going in for rally WV.

That was too much fun (other than our agricultural expedition into the tree). Anyone who can squeeze an extra event into their budget really ought to consider this for next season. Fast flowing roads with non-stop elevation changes and crests... Can't wait to go back. And the people of Linden were amazing as well. Rally Tennessee (IMO) is a must do if it's even remotely in range.
