Latvala next new WRC champion?
June 01, 2008 05:20PM
He's completely outshining Mikko.. and once he learns to keep his car between the lines, I think he's going to make everyone else look like an old man.

Your thoughts?

Edit: I mean new champion as in of course loeb is going to win this year.. but next year? smiling smiley

He is fast. Why not. Malcom Wilson did a great job hiring JML.

Ha I had to re-read your edit cos I was like LOEB!

But I still like Hirvonen... He's running bad in greece cos he had no lines to follow cos he started out first.(haven't watch day 2 or 3 yet) Seems like he got too far back early to recover.

Jari's secret is those glasses he wears... unfair advantage

I wear yellow glasses when rallying too, but I'm still medicore, or just plain slow smiling smiley

I like Hirvonen, I think he's a good solid driver, but I rarely see that zazz from him that you get from Loeb where his in-car looks like he's a millimeter from death every inch of the stage, and making a Group A car look that good is pretty hard.

Jari Matti definately is a star of the future and he has that something extra and pulls it out from time to time. When he figures out how to do it all the time he'll be a contender.

one of the things I like so much about mikko and jari matti is that they both have such a great attitude about everything, they both smile a lot, they seem to really enjoy what they are out there doing

Loeb is a bitch...soon the switch to the "new cars" will happen then after everything gets evened out again we'll see if the good drivers come back/out of the woodwork.

IRC FTMFW, I love the s2000 vs GR N battles, fun stuff

Whenever we watch WRC every time Loeb comes on the screen and talks all the guys starting doing voiceovers for him that usually consist of "I am so beautiful" and "oh yes, look at me, so beautiful, I really am, you know I am beautiful" and it just progresses from there (well, if you can call it progression)

Hirvonen needs to get his head back in the game. It's not all start order.

I'm not aware of the details of the new cars. Is there some massive rule change coming down the pipes?

I find the IRC coverage harder to enjoy.. not due to the racing... although now that I think about it, it was getting better last time I saw it.

Loeb may be a bitch, but he out drives everyone just about all the time. I think Latvala will be his biggest threat in the future.

Not going RWD but there are a lot of rule changes for the top cars. I don't know what they are for sure since I don't really care but I am sure the changes are available on the great net somewhere.
