How's the field looking? Entry list as it is on the website isn't too bad.

I would come down just to work and hang out (might be a fun drive in the street car hehe) but I'm getting sent on a business trip that weekend. So even if I wasn't excused I'd be stuck sitting out anyway

Well, we really needed about 20-22 competitors to break even, and we just lost one today (unresolveable engine problems), so things are looking pretty grim. Nonetheless, the event will go on.

Kinda frustrating, but then again it is a long haul for everyone.

Man Michel, I feel bad about not being able to make it...I made my budget before I knew of this event and figured I'd go for the SW Rallycup series. Unfortunately time and budget precludes me from running your event.

If money does get tight and you may lose money, you might consider taking donations for the rally. Cheese aside, I bet there are CRS people who can't make it but still want to support the event in some way.

Hopefully it goes well enough that I'll have another chance to run those roads next year.

Hey, man, Mountain Trials was closer than Reno for most PNW types (aside from the Bend crowd), the event was just as inexpensive, almost as many stage miles (uh, stage kilometers) and offered two-pass recce and, still, only one US competitor (a co-driver!) managed to make it to Merritt last weekend!
