Tsk tsk tsk.

How dare you ?

Yes some very sick and twisted characters rally the Trabi. I had a short video but I'd be damned if I remember where I have found it.

You will single handedly depleat the rest of the ozone layer.

Shut up, you did not????

A coil for each cylinder, that's good, must be a special tuning version.

Umm... where is the engine exactly?? Under one of those suitcases?

"Did you know they are 4 in the tree shifting"

I used to have a Mercedes 180D that shifted like that.

John your Saab 96 shifts like that too, right ?

I learned how to drive on those, a 1969 Opel Rekord 1700.

I even rallied a 1973 Opel Rekord 1700 with 4 on the tree with extreme lack of anything remotely close to being called a succes.

Here is an idea, and one that is not very expensive. Install a GSXR engine in a Trabi and let's see what's gonna happen. smiling smiley

"Trebant" even sounds "froggish" French Canadian, so it could easily pass for :

Manufacturer : Ski Doo
Model : Trebant

Ski Doo has a 1000cc now with like 160+ horsepower, then mate it up to a sequential box.

Or

You could save yourself a lot of grief and pay $50000 for a Campagna T Rex with a Hyabusa engine that comes factory with a sequential :

the "next hot sled" is a 240 hp turbo 1000cc 4 stroke machine I THINK yamaha is pushing.

they sell a kit to punch the (again, i think, i always mix up the brands) ski do 2 stroke 900's out to 1010 and was rated at 240 hp normally aspirated.

I think it would be more along the lines of Bombardier Trabant. But who am I to know, being born and raised in 'frogland' myself.
Never had a nice sled myself. All I know what it wouldn't start without gas down the carb, and was yellow. It died when it got runned down by the wing blade of a snow plow when I got it stuck in a ditch one night.
I wonder what other motors you could swap in there and keep it Gr2 legal.
