John, its all about forum layout, haha. I HATE the layout here, but the server is nice. Its almost NEVER down. I REALLY like SS's forum layout, but they're server blows. hard.

Maybe rally411 combines the best of both? (or the worst??? winking smiley )

What's wrong with the layout?
You don't have the format set in "Threaded" mode do ya?

Go down to near the bottom and click "swith view".

I about lost it until I got the view changed, else I wouldn't have stayed. However, some of us (okay, maybe it's just me) has been spoiled elsewhere (elsewhere for me meaning a big evil non racing site I spend too much time at) with the option to just skip to the newest post since the last time I've visited and not have to scroll down looking for the last thing I read. Does that make me lazy? Damn right it does.

hahaha well I dont want to be a forum site. Your right there is too many out there. SS serves its purpose but its boring. Rally411 is just a news site that provides entertaining news. Not just the latest press release from RA, NASA, USRC, or CARS. Although we might cover those press releases we atleast re-write it in an entertaining way. Rockslide does have a forum, but mostly because it was built into the ning system and if someone feels compeled to use it to ask a question or something its good for that. Both sites are here for entertianment. Rockslide is going to have a lot more media content like the new podcast n stuff. It is there mostly for us to get our content out but there is user generated content that can be added too. Plus there is a blog system for rally people out there so you can have your own blog on Rockslide. Also there is this devide between RallyX and Rally that we hope to bridge. The only other place that is happening is Dirty Impreza which is a great site but very Subaru oriented. So overall we want to be different

Oh, OK. Thanks for answering, I really didn't mean it in any mean way.
Just seems there such a fragmentation in the US rally world (maybe reflecting a fragmentation in the broader culture as well).

And i gotta agree there should be more cross over tween rally-Ex, stage rally and some of the 'brisk-er" long distance type rallies.
