If the XR4Ti is the Sierra, what's the counter-part to the Scorpio?

Kirk, the Xratty was ome model in the really rather large family of Sierras.
WE got the 2300 SOHC Turbo "Pinto" motor, they got the Cologne 2800 V6 in the exact same car but called it XR4i.
Sierras came with 1300 CVHs, 1600 CVH, 2,0 SOHC (real) Pintos, 2.0 "DOHC 8v" and "DOHC 16v", 2300 V6, 2800 V6, 2900 V6, and of course 2.0 16v T16 Cosworth.
the were both 2wd and after 85 4wd in the 2.0 DOHC, V6, and Cosworth versions.
The came in 2 door hatch (like USA Merkur Xratty), 5 door hatch, 4 door sedan, and station wagon, even a pick up (P100).

Scorpios were Scorpios, allthough many Poms call them "Grenada Scorpios" and they came with a similar huge variety of motors down to 2.0 and also came 4x4 and even 4x4 Station wagon. From 1990 on there was a version of the good ol Cologne V6 that got "Cossie-ized" with a new crank, rods pistons and new DOHC, 4 valve heads, for a V6 4 cam 24v.

You forgot the 1.8 CVH, 3.0 V6 (XR6) and very limited run South African XR8 8-cylinder model (it can debated if this really was a model :-)).

Theres a quick overview here:

Hehe - I'm not much of a Ford-guy actually (though I have a few Ford posters and stuff in my shop - and oh, I owned a Mk II Escort - POS), so I'm not trying to get Ford to look better by leaving out the lemons ;-).
