Oafishul Rally Anarchy brews?
January 26, 2006 01:35AM
Now taking nominations..............

I'm preferential to Czech Pilsner, or German Hefeweissen, or in winter a nice dark Guinness stout. After working on the car all day pretty much anything tastes good, I had a near religous experience with a bottle of Coors the other day (must have been delerious). Got a nice bottle selection from Trader Joe's the other day, got a few more to try.

Brick Honey Red, or more nationally Rickard's Red is the busted-knuckle healer of choice up in Boreham du Nord.

Only one beer suitable for rally anarchy. The one you make yourself. Relax, don't worry, have a homebrew.

Grant, step away from Bud.

It has a nasty side effect, if you drink enough you will start watching NASCRAP and your car will only turn left. In advanced cases, tobacco chewing and using "I tell you what" as a complete sentence may be observed. Stop it before it's too late.

Sky, two thumbs (one wrapped in bandaid and ductainium) up for Pilsner Urquel.

In winter I like Guinness or Bemish. A Car Bomb (Guinness, Jamason and Bailys) is very good too. Pilsner Urquel is good year round. Summer time calls for Pacifico with fresh lime slice served cold and on the veranda at my beach house.

Derek, you fancy bastard, beach house, veranda, slice o' lime.

Dude, I drink Moose Head, Efes Pilsner (yes it is Turkish) and Victoria Bitter (whenever World Market brings it). I tried to brew my own but tasted and looked like shit so now I store used up Mobil1 in the brewthingy.

HAAAAAHAAAAHAAAAA! Sorry, found that funny. Guinness (went to school in Ireland for a quarter) Pacifico, Negro Modelo and one I've lately been fond of is Session in the stubby bottles. Great BBQ beer. I have a homebrew kit and have yet to use it.

Add another vote for Pilsner Urquell. It kicks ass *and* it is cheap.

And then there's my favorite beer, which I would like to nominate simply for its name:

Negro Mondelo is rather good. I first had that when babysiting a 74 foot yacht in Mexico two years ago. I had dispatched the crew to take the tender across the laqoon for beer and that is what they brought back.

My life does not suck.

One of the best brews I've ever had has been Samichlaus Ale. Too bad it's not really imported to the US anymore because of stupid Corporate Buyouts. Franziskaner is to be found a little locally, and I really like it. A little irish pub just opened up nearby, and they have their own microbrew that is pretty tasty as well. Sometimes I'm glad that I live in Wisconsin (pronounced West-sconsin by some, and I'd like to know where East-sconsin really is) because of the rather high amount of good microbreweries in the area. Spotted Cow by the New Glarus Brewery is pretty good too.

There is no particular one I must stick to, because there's such a variety, and they all taste good. It's really hard to make a decision sometimes, ya know?
