This is an awesome forum (Thanks Skye) !
As most of you know, Vanlandingham and I had a business transaction that went South. He didn't get ripped off and was paid 100% of his bill in cash, late. So everything was completed and payment received. John and I have differing views of his obligation with the problems that I had as a result of the work that he did, as well as a few other issues. He's basically told me that he's not going re-imburse or partially re-imburse me for any of my incurred expenses. Thats the line in the sand ! It's been since last fall and no more discussion has happened on the topic between the two of us. One would think, okay fine and get on with life as well as take the hatchet and throw it deep into the woods. I've thrown my hatchet long ago, learned, and gotton on with life (albeit having learned a lesson). It really grinds my gears that there's a duality in postings here, and seemingly the East wall of Berlin between John communicating with me and not communicating with me. Since this is Rally Anarchy and I can speak as I want, I'm going to take advantage of this opportunity. The blown diff that I had in the colt was a 4.56 and that's what was going back in. When I couldn't get a 4.56 (I was told the 4.56 Volvo came in the P1800), then I settled for the 4.30. I knew this would be fine because Mr. Lane had suggested a 4.10. Then having to put up with your (Vanlandingham) poke on SS... 4.3 "I hope it was free" etc... I mean give me a fucking break already ! You know that car, even to the point of suggesting that I put a "meatier" camshaft in it, but then refusing to suggest lift and duration when asked. You got a kid now... save your playful games for her. If you want to get beyond this non sense and start communicating like adults again, then I'm all for it ! |

> Would you say the bridge is fully ablaze and > beyond repair ? > > Navn : Morten > Nationalitet : Dansk > Rally bil : 74' Dodge Colt > Pik : Stor That should have been evident from the carefully chosen terms you were addressed by when I was responding to those 150 emails you sent. Morten what you completely fail to grasp is that nobdy has an obligation to answer any questions you essentially demand answered. Nobody has an obligation to answer the 4-5 questions which get generated from each question they may have given you a detail answer to knowing full well that it was a futile and theoretical excercise (just to use the diff failure as an handy example: how many MONTHS did it take to remove the 10 screws in the back cover?). Also maybe people don't want to deal with your overly sensitive ego. You may have a stor pik but you have a tiny sense of comprehension. As a recent example I asked quite simply, since I was puzzled why a guy would be doing something clearly in the wrong direction by shoving a 4.3 ratio in, if you got it for free. Now then, since there are rotting Volvos everywhere and some going for FREE, and the correct ratio costing a mere 129 USD, IF a person went the wrong way, I thought the REASONABLE answer COULD be that a guy scored one for free. There was NO snide comment, but little Morten with the stor pik gets all snivelly. I am still curious why Randy's Ring and Pinion wasn't called. The problem is Morten that in some respects you're dumb as a fuckin brick and you expect people to educate you ENDLESSLY for FREE (and have to fight for months to get paid even when you have sent emails promising to pay. Additionally you do the thing we said is a big NAUGHTY here, you purposely qoute out of context and purposely state half truths. Additionally, the entire story of the ebay won Celica AllTrac and the subsequent dealership check out then leaving the seller with bills and BREAKING THE EBAY CONTRACT TO BUY has been conveyed in detail by principals involved, so I know that you are NOT a WORTHWHILE person to invest time in since TWO for TWO transactions that I know of you fucked around with paying people. So I am strongly disinclined to bother wasting tooooooooooooooooooooooo much time helping you out. Actually I don't have a stor pik, and as you know... Scandinavian humour is based in sarcasm. So often my sense of humour goes "un appreciated". You're right, I don't have a huge comprehension about working on cars. I'm a wood worker. I think I did pretty well in working on the car with the assistance of someone else. It's a learning curve and I'm learning. Prior to you mention Randy's ring and pinion the other day, I had never heard of them. In fact when we took out the diff, I had never seen a carrier, spider gears, or event knew what they meant. I'm learning. I may could have asked better questions and perhaps had someone else work with me on the diff. Because I didn't know until after the diff was back in the car that I could have bought a replacement ring and pinion. I ended up with a new carrier (good used), and was told that the 4.56 ratio was only available in the P1800. I may have gotton hosed as it was explained to me that my carrier unit couldn't be re-used. Everything is a learning process john, and now that I know how it comes apart I will do it myself next time as weill as contact Randy's ring and pinion. Yes it took me 2 months to get to doing the diff., that's just how my schedule was with Christmas and other obligations. I don't really think that matters as I wasn't in need of the car during that time anyways. > As a recent example I asked quite simply, since I > was puzzled why a guy would be doing something > clearly in the wrong direction by shoving a 4.3 > ratio in, if you got it for free. > > Now then, since there are rotting Volvos > everywhere and some going for FREE, and the > correct ratio costing a mere 129 USD, IF a person > went the wrong way, I thought the REASONABLE > answer COULD be that a guy scored one for free. > There was NO snide comment, but little Morten with > the stor pik gets all snivelly. > I am still curious why Randy's Ring and Pinion > wasn't called. > > The problem is Morten that in some respects you're > dumb as a fuckin brick and you expect people to > educate you ENDLESSLY for FREE (and have to fight > for months to get paid even when you have sent > emails promising to pay. I've never expected anyone to edumacate me for free. Yes I have asked a lot of questions from people, but isn't that the concept of a forum ? To communicate, and offer advice ? > Additionally you do the thing we said is a big > NAUGHTY here, you purposely qoute out of context > and purposely state half truths. > > Additionally, the entire story of the ebay won > Celica AllTrac and the subsequent dealership check > out then leaving the seller with bills and > BREAKING THE EBAY CONTRACT TO BUY has been > conveyed in detail by principals involved, so I > know that you are NOT a WORTHWHILE person to > invest time in since TWO for TWO transactions > that I know of you fucked around with paying > people. "entire story of the"... is just that, a story. The car wasn't as listed, and as such wrongfully advertised. In discussing this with the owner, he concluded that he had been ripped of by Wigham's Driving. The car was an ex-Millen car, but most of the goodies that were supposed to be on the car were absent. The mechanical check at the dealership was part of the purchase agreement. And when the car wasn't as stated, then the binding contract from ebay was terminated as per ebay rules. BTW my ebay feedback is 100%, and the Celica seller didn't leave anything negative so I don't know why you're even bringing this up. Surely if he would have been unhappy or disagreed with anything then he would have left negative feedback. Go look for yourself (labo65). Now that you've looked for yourself, you can add 17 verified positive transactions to your personal feedback of me. > So I am strongly disinclined to bother wasting > tooooooooooooooooooooooo much time helping you > out. Well that's a positive ! So you'll waste a little time, that's great ! Assuming you don't want to do the image-attaching game:
http://www.villagephotos.com is a nice *free* image hosting site, have been using them for over a year, no complaints. http://www.farkimages.com is another *free* image hosting site, very "basics" (no super-fancy user interface) but they don't seem to have a bandwidth limit, very important for forums like http://www.Fark.com where there are so many viewers that the bandwidth can get downright obscene. There are lots more, but I can't recommend what I haven't tried myself. Okay, back to lurking, soon as I restock the beer in the Volvo.
