MRW Motorsports list of firsts...
November 27, 2006 10:05AM
MRW Motorsports debuted it's newly built Nissan 240SX Group 5 pro rally car at tall Pines.

- Pines was our first ever Pro-rally event.
- First time out for new car.
- First top 10 stage time (Eagen creek)
- First (pro-rally) TV interview.
- First BIG OFF... on B1 500 meters before end of stage... the right 6 that was really a right 3

Tried like hell to make the corner... hung the rear over the edge, clipped a big rock with LR, started rolling, hit tree with RF while upside down and ripped off RF strut, front end stopped, rear pivoted around the tree and we continued rolling another 3/4 turn and landed on right side on top of upside down Isuzu!

After we were pulled out of the revene we changed a tire and drove it out of the stage with RF hanging onto broken strut.

Assesing the damage, trying to figure out how we can fix it for PN.

BTW... John before we ripped the suspenders apart they rocked! They litterally sucked up the bumps on Eagen Creek, the roughest stage of the event where we were 10th fastest! I'll let you know if I need a new tube or just an insert...

-Martin.

Ouch! Talk about losing your cherry right away! Here's hoping that will "Just buff right out." winking smiley I'd suggest hitting up one of the national Nissan enthusiast discussion forums, sharing some before and after pictures, and possbily offering short term sponsorship deals to members. You never know... you might get a tidy little influx of capital for the car.

Good luck.

Hey Martin,

Too bad about this weekend, it was fun watching your times get progressively better on RS (until the line on the graph disasspeared!). That'll buff right out!

WooooooooooHoooooooooooooooooo!
