I usually don't pay attention to the national fees, as I just run those rallies signed up as a regional competitor. I was surprised to see that you can't get in to a national (with notes) for under $1000.

Well, ok Christian wasn't very far off on the the fees, so long as you pay early.

But, I still maintain that to do a full RA National Championship season, the average team spent a good bit more than $50k. I think $50K represents either wishfull thinking or a total "Damn the Torpedos, we're gonna beg, borrow and steal us a National Championship" effort.

And why should I care, I don't have anywhere close to $50k, much less what I really think I would need, to spend to do it.

I am just happy that i can still sort of afford to run 5 regional events a season.

Ditto Ted,

Why should I care I am not running any RA events.

NASA events are more fun, more grassroots, more competitive and a lot CHEAPER.
