So some of the discussion of things like the Ford Transit vans made this site a little more interesting.

First off, some of them are just cool. The Toyota Town Ace is awesome looking and all the Mitsu vans with 2.5 turbo diesels look interesting too.

I was gonna crack jokes about the Homey van. Reminded me of the Homeboy Shopping Network back in the day, but the Mitsubishi Jeep is WAY cool. It's the best of both worlds, imo. You get the Jeep look, but it's still a Mitsu! How cool is that?

Not as cool as the Nissan Figaros, though. I would LOVE to have one of those for a commuter car here in Phoenix.

Jeez. What a cool site.

Am I the only one that ready the ad as 1991 Nissan HORNY Cargo van?
Does it come with a mattress in the back? grinning smiley

And Nissan S-Cargo - bet it goes at a snails pace too!

Cool cars.

If you want a first rate tow van I would likely sell my ambulance after Burnning Man this year.

Lots of room, lots of lights, rocking PA system and loud sirens. Currently it has a small bed, 30 gal water tank and pump, a new (less than 20k miles) 7.3L diesel, new gearbox and new diff; 2 fuel tanks, and plenty of room for all your rally crap.

I think I have a 7000Lbs hitch on it right now with brake controler etc. If you drive at 62 MPH or less it gets good MPG at 63 or more it goes down to around 13MPH with race car on a trailer and full load in the van.

In the long run reality always wins.

That's just about the time I'll be on the lookout for a van. End of August to September. Of course, I was thinking more about a conversion van, but a diesel ambuvan would be sweet.
