I find it really funny that so many people on here are also on turbobricks. Not just beucause turbobricks is full of wankers, but they are volvo wankers. Who would have known.

Boys, it has some annoying punks and some pouting asswipes but it is better than most single brand US forums Iäve seen.
Ya wanna see something stupid go visit Saabnet. The owner is a weeenie ass punk ass computer nerd who acts like a Nazi and bans people right and left. Idiot. And the performance board is perhaps 40% people asking about Blow off Valave, BOV BOV BOV BOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOV Fuckin BOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOVBOV BOV BOV John Vanlandingham Sleezattle, WA, USA Vive le Prole-le-ralliat www.rallyrace.net/jvab CALL +1 206 431-9696 Remember! I think you'll always find some morons at every board. You just have to weed through it. I got frustrated at times when I had my 84 Colt GTS rally car and spent some time on 4G61t.org. Most of the people were useless. The Merkur guys are surprisingly a bit better than the average enthusiast though it seems. Same goes for the Subaru Legacy board. I think it has to do with older cars with potential most don't recognize or something.
Speaking of which, for Toyota pervs: http://www.4age.net/ Grant Hughes |

Turbo Ford is a bunch of Mustang tools mostly. The For Sale is about all I've ever visited, and even then it's a mix between over priced parts, and good priced parts and junk.
I guess the fact that I think drag racing and autocross to be lame really makes me dislike most forums, since that's what everyone does mostly, except their For Sale forums. I wonder if the guy in Minnesota that bought Aaron's Starlet project ever sold it. It was a good mix of car, motor (4AGE), and other bits for $1000. I thought about buying it from Aaron back before he sold it. There are hardly any Starlets around our area though. Grant Hughes |

Your right about most of the mustang crowd, but I think cause I've met some of those guys in person I cut the board some slack. I mean how many other boards can you find guys cutting blocks up to find the thin spots in cylinder walls; or just to look inside. I rarely buy anything from the for sale section, I do on occasion sell stuff. Just yesterday an XR owner pulled his motor and weighed it for us on a decent scale (405lbs.wet including the clutch and PP) and that is worth it to shut up the internet experts who claim it's as heavy or heavier then a v8.

Sounds close to or lighter than the cast iron block & head of the stock 2.3 4cyl if Scott's numbers and the numbers of Wikipedia are right. Here's a big engine weight chart: http://www.241computers.com/ford/index.php?module=ContentExpress&func=print&ceid=38&mid=30 Ford 2.3 Lima/Pinto L4 450 (2) (turbo) Buick/Rover 215 V8 318 (and Olds) Apparently the 2.3 weight is way wrong by at least 50 lbs high. I have no idea how much the Sierra Cosworth YBB engine weighs, maybe John can chime in. www.rallyrace.net Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 02/07/2006 02:25AM by Skye. |
