Hey I's hoping Lurchie-poo Bur-meister will live up to his name (that's Cage-champion auf Deutsch) can come in and tell us if'n he knows someplace a guy starting out can get a cage insatlled for his nice red lived-in-Georgia-all-its-life Volvo 240.

Lurchie! Know anywhere??

Looks like we have yet another member whos looking at GpF and being the path the the Future!

Perhaps Darin at DJT Motorsport downtown. He built Tad Ohtake's ZX2 Escort, Mike Gagnon's Focus, and used to take care of Mitch McCullough's GTX, along with numerous fast road cars (Audi S2, Evos, R5TurboMaxi) and old roadracing stuff (510, 260Z, etc.) He has done various jobs for me and let me rent his shop from time to time.

Also, Autosport Engineering, but they are out past Ann Arbor.

I don't know a lot of builders on this side of the state, to be honest. Most rallyists in the motor city roll their own. Unless you work in Auburn Hills...those guys use Skytek.

I used to work in the same building (but still a quarter mile away...it's a big building!) from Tad as well as Jon and Jeremy Butts. Both Jon and Jer have moved on to greener pastures. I think Tad is still there, but I moved down the street to a different design studio (Focus, Stang, Taurus) and don't get back to the old building too super often.

I will check the company directory tomorrow to see if he's still there...I owe him a ph. call anyway.

Wicked cool! If he's there, tell him he's inspiring a couple of MN/WI boys to follow in his footsteps and rally the US 91-96 escort gt!

Hey Lurch,
Do you have any contact info for Darin? I've been trying to look him up, but have been unsuccessful.

Yeah, call 1-800-hosenow and ask for him. His day job is working at Auto-Cycle-Marine...the most knowledgable hose shop for race car stuff in the state.

He's the counter person there. Tell him you heard about him from me, if you please.
