Black River Stages 2013
August 30, 2013 09:41AM

Black River Stages 2013 rally is in just 3 weeks over the weekend of September 21st and 22nd. Amazing roads, very welcoming community, jumps galore, and night time stages! Currently over 40 cars and more than 10 motorcycles entered. You should seriously consider coming up to Harrisville, NY to spectate or, better yet, volunteer at this year's event. Volunteers also participate in the awesome awards party - garbage can chicken - yum! And free beer!

If you are a competitor, take a close look at your lights - there ain't no street lights on stage - do they need updating? There's still time to order one or more USUK Racing LED Light Bars and get them mounted and tested before the event. Here we are at STPR's Super Special this year - I'd post a pic from NASA Rally Sport's Rally West Virginia, where our lights were amazing on the 23 mile night-time stage 6 but I can't find any.

See you there!

Can't wait to come up to New York and try BRS again. Last time I had spectacular results. This time I hope to finish. :0

Kevin,

Sorry to hear you can't make it but I completely understand. Enjoy everyday with your little guy, they don't stay that way long!

Thanks

Brad

I'm in the same boat, Brad. I'm 0/2 on BRS. First year, DNF due to hitting a rock and splitting apart the rear seams of the car and bending nearly everything that could be bent, and last year was car car-b-que on SS1.

But, Eric & Brad, if you DNF, it means you are rallying! The only way to never DNF is to never rally....

I'm with Eric! I only made it a couple of stages before I decided I needed to see the bottom of the car.....

I'll be more careful this time (not really).

thanks

I'm planning to be there to either volunteer, first time volunteering since a RNY a few years ago, or hook up with a team that needs a crew.

Anyone have suggestions on places to stay/camp?

Harrisville is pretty much booked up. Rooms at the Herrings Inn are I think 35 bucks a night. It's located in Carthage, which is about 20min from rally start Harrisville and 20 min from rally start in Croghan. http://www.herringsinn.com/ . As far as I know, they still have rooms available. Lots of people camp at the Adirondack 1000 Islands campground near Harrisville. I've never stayed there, but I have only heard positive things about the place.

1000 Islands just had to close down prematurely for the season. Look elsewhere, unfortunately sad smiley
