Attention rally boys and girls! The 2013 Mt. Hood Rally is going to be on Saturday, October 26th. This year's event is a C1 throwback to the rally's early years, consisting of multiple runs on the FS17 Road with 2-pass recce, in the beautiful Mt. Hood National Forest. Early entry is $250 and will start September 23rd. Event details, supplemental regulations, and competitor and volunteer registration will be up at MtHoodRally.com shortly. This will be a Rally America sanctioned event. Stay tuned for more details!

If'n I wasn't such a nice guy I'd point out that you would likely not make the event anyway, but I would never say that out loud. grinning smiley

More rally, good. Less rally, bad.

But more importantly:
Some rally, good. No rally, bad.

Hey now. I can personally attest that not only did he make it last year, he finished. I was working scoring at the the final MTC and remember hassling him about it while he was waiting to check in. He was nervously praying that car wouldn't grenade again before he could drive the last few feet into the control.

We parked the car in service and saw the front CV boots were *gone* and the joints were bone dry and juuuuust about ready to disintegrate....'twas a close enough thing!

Both the Panda Crane Corolla drivers will be out of town that weekend.
If someone wants to buy Patches, There's still time to get it prepped for Hood.
Great entry fee, great learning opportunity.

Turns out a good friend is getting married that weekend so I have to choose between racing or going to his wedding. With it being a sprint I don't think it's worth the tow for me(425 miles one way). I was really looking forward to finally driving my car too sad smiley.

In case anyone has missed the press release, this year's event has been canceled.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the cancellation of the 2013 Mt Hood Rally. We have run into some issues with both the Government Shutdown and locality issues that make the event impossible to run.

We will now focus our energy on the Oregon Trail Rally, next May, so that we may put on the best event Oregon Rally Group has organized.

Our goal is to retool the 2014 Mt Hood Rally and also continue the event’s tradition of providing a quality event for our Regional competitors.

Thank you for your support, both now and in the future.

Mt Hood Rally Chairman
