My last navigating gig didn't end too well.

Just wanted to share with those that know how it is, and didn't want to post up on local forum.

Everything was going fine till the driver misread a rh bend, I looked up and thought "this isn't good", then the swearing started.. then the crash/rolls.
We were in the top of fourth or fifth so somewhere around 130kph or more.

Car is done, doesn't look to bad but a-pillars and front legs have come down a couple of inches and the driver was planning to retire the car shortly... just not in this type of style! Another competitor kindly gave the car a tap with her LHR quarter and moved it into the ditch an further off line.

Anyhoo both A-ok, but time for a new helmet probably another Stilo DES but carbon this time and I'll get a Simpson hybrid neck restraint too. I know it's pricey but at this level I'm not likely to be in small/slow crashes anymore.

We were running 7th outright after a slow start and judging by our increase in pace and commitment in this stage(which was probably too much) we would have won this stage outright.

My normal friends look at me funny when I say I still had a good time, and wasn't bothered by the crash just pissed we didn't finish!

Boom, Tish! I just got this one!

I'm no suby fan, this was my first time in one, but this did haul the milk. 6 Speed, unrestricted, autronic sm4, 50mm remote canister MCA shocks etc etc.

Replacement will be something like this

160kg lighter to start with and similar running gear.

There is no doubt how well those Subes work. At least you didn't hit a photographer before you rolled! Where is your season at timeline wise?

This was 2nd last round of the season, one more semi local event to run in the state series.

The rest of the year is still pretty tight, in addition to the above there is an Australian Championship round, a three day historic(2wd non-turbo only) bi-annual rally, A tarmac round.
And our clubs very own Rally Des Femme, an introductory rally for female drivers only.

The top girls take it very seriously and the rest go out for shits and giggles as a thankyou to wives/girlfriends/navs/friends/officals etc for putting up with us we lend out our cars for them to have a go. This year I'm the little black duck that is organising it.

Do they take total noobs guys in Evos?
Some are certifiable bitches so that ought to count for something, eh?

The last 2 years we have allowed noob junior males (<4 events, under 25yo) but if any male(however much of a cow they are) entered in a 4wd turbo I'd refuse their entry.

It's not in the spirit of the event.

They let noobs out in the tarmac events with 2 motorkhana under there belt in true firebreathing monsters with substandard safety gear and not suprisingly they tend to get themselves killed on a regular basis. sad smiley
It fosters a bit of an us and them repoire with the gravel guys as the media doesn't differenciate and we get lumped in with them.
Very few cross over between the two disiplines.

I can't respond to the poll because my response is missing: 'All of the above'.

And when you use the word 'fosters' above, do you mean the verb or the beer? smileys with beer
